My computer got a virus!

Hey,

Uh...if you're wondering why the new Yacht & Beach Club forum hasn't been up and running...well...I have been having a problem for about a week now, and it hasn't improved. Apparently I got the Klez virus, and it deleted a number of important files from my hard drive...once I cleaned it out, i got it again. This went on for about three days or so, but now my system won't run the appropriate Klez protection tools. I had to send the whole laptop in to my internet company, pay $90 for them to fix it, and hope to God that I'll have a healthy computer by the time they're done.

I've got two words for my internet company (or whoever programmed the virus): legalized extortion. This is unbelievable...I won't have my laptop back until FRIDAY...and I dont even know what files will be intact by that time. OK...

...thanks for sitting tight. now...DON'T EMAIL ME until I give the "all clear" signal on the DIS when i get my anti-virused computer back. I've been getting tons of undeliverable mail notices because my computer had been sending the Klez to EVERYONE. aaagh!!!!

Thanks for your infinite patience. I really need to finish the Yacht & Beach Club forum as soon as possible, though my brain admittedly has turned to fudge from a string of all-nighters during finals week.

So, just watch the resorts board. I promise I'll wake up. And...i'm DEFINITELY going to Penn State Architecture now, it's like locked in. I'm moving in August 24th, with classes starting on the 27th. AAAAAAAAAAAAUGH!!!! COLLEGE!!!!! It seems like my first day of school at good ol' Our Lady Of Perpetual Debt was just yesterday, let alone 12 years ago. Whooh...

Joe Cool, glad everything is back to normal for you. I haven't been around the Dis much lately myself, so I didn't even notice that you were "gone" (hee hee). And congrats on choosing your college and major. Have fun!
