2. Did you follow the instructions that someone posted here on how to make the shirts?
I used the Avery Dark Transfer paper.
I've scanned that thread, but not sure how well I followed it.
Here's what I did.
I put all my art in Microsoft Word. This made it easier for me as that paper is expensive and I did not want to waste it. I did two Life Is Good pics per paper.
I went to Target and got my shirts.
I washed and dried them (no fabric softner). They did shrink some.
I printed my designs, cut them out.
Per the instruction in the label pack I ironed them on. I did find that black comes out better is keep ironing for longer than it specified. They were stuck only after a minute or so, I contiinued just for better color.
After I was done, I let them sit for one day and then I turned them inside out and put a fabric softner sheet in the dryer and "wrinkle released" them. My dryer has a wrinkle release option and I wanted to use the fabric sheet to soften them up just a tad.
That was it.
I've never done any type of vinegar wash and the Avery labels do not mention it. I don't plan on these lasting forever. I just want to get through the trip!
Thanks for checking them out!
