My Coke Rewards Universal Orlando Tickets

According to My Coke Rewards Facebook page, they will NOT be offering Universal Orlando tickets for 1000 points like in previous years. I really don't understand why they decided to offer the Universal Hollywood & not Orlando! Needless to say I had been saving all year for these for our December trip and am really disappointed.

I was lucky enough to pick up 3 from last years MCR promo that expire on 8/31/12. These are complimentary one day passes without any name attached. Just checking to see if any other DISers picked some up too ...and will not be able to use theirs?

Like I said, I know the chances are very slim but it never hurts to ask. If there are some other items you wanted from Coke Rewards, maybe I could use my points for them as a trade? I have 4,000+ points between my husbands and my account.

PS Anyone else been waiting for these and REALLY bummed too?

I hate bad news .we have gotten them the last three years . I have been checking everyday and thought anyday they would be on mycokerewards since they had universal Hollywood .bummed out for sure.

I was also waiting and hoping for them to add the park tickets to Orlando after their Halloween offerings expired. We have gotten them the last few years but used them all. I've blown probably 100 points trying for their "instant win."

Bummer! I was hoping this was going to be the announcement that they were up. I've been doing my daily allotted free chances to win the 4 pack...but I'm not thinking that's going to happen. I guess I'll just order them from Undercover Tourist when I get our WDW passes.

Same here! With all their sweepstakes I wondered how many people would enter the max points daily (probably a lot!). I always use my points to redeem rewards, but went nuts with the 4-pass sweepstakes and blew threw 4,000 points just like that.

Oh well... back to saving. Maybe if they get bad press for not issuing tickets this year, they may have them back next year. I'll start saving!

I am so frustrated because on their facebook page they keep telling everyone that they can play the instant win to try for the Orlando tickets.
BUT, the games have had a glitch for over a week and keep giving the error message "Time for a short break - you’ve met your daily limit of entries into this instant win. Try again tomorrow for your chance to win (and good luck)" ...so you CAN'T play.

Also even on the slim chance you could actually win, the tickets won't be released until the end of the game promotion and are only good until March 2012.

I use to love My Coke Rewards but really feel they dropped the ball. Reading through the comments on fb it is obvious that they are not listening to what their valued customers really want.

I, unfortunately, gave up on them back in June. We needed at least one day passes for our trip in December, but I heard that prices were going up so we just bit the bullet and bought the 3 day two-park passes from Costco for $139. Of course, I'm glad we did that now, but it's still a bummer for people waiting for them . Plus, I now have thousands of MCR points (everyone I know gives them to me) and I don't want anything currently offered (a Coke hat? a Sprite T-Shirt? First season of some TV show I've never heard of? No thanks ).

I agree that the rewards are lame but curious which of the shows you've never heard of. I saw Glee, Burn Notice and Modern Family and those are 3 of the most popular shows on.

I am disappointed too! Also, in the rules, it says that the Coke Rewards program ends on Dec. 31, 2011. Has anyone heard if it will be extended or not? I saved a bunch of points to get Universal tickets, and now that they won't be offered, I don't know what to do with all my points. I don't want to lose the points if they decide not to extend the program, but I don't want to spend them on crap and then have the program extended into next year.

A tip I learned from this board - when entering an instant win game on Coke Rewards, click on where it says "rules", then scroll down until it says how to get a free entry. When you click on that, it will give you a code to type in and then it will grant you one free entry into the instant win game. You can get 5 free entries a day that way and you don't have to waste your points to play the game.

I would ask everyone that was waiting for these tickets to go to their FB and comment on how disappointed we are. Maybe if enough of express our feelings they will change their minds?!
