My cholesterol levels have gone down.....

15 pionts HDL and 17 points for my overall cholesterol :woohoo:however my LDL went down 1 point.

I have made the following life changes:

  • Drink skim milk
  • eat fiber one cereal every morning
  • eat 3 to 4 servings of fruit a day
  • drink 4 or 5 17 oz. water bottles a day
  • take fish oil tablets twice a day
  • I have stopped eating pasta (white)
  • I have limited my intake of packaged cheeses - this is killing me

At first I lost 9 pounds but I have gained it all back. I am not too bothered because I can see the difference in my clothing. Maybe I am building muscles.

I also try to do 45 minutes of cardio each day.
 
The bottom line is getting healthier and it sounds like you are well on your way. Congratulations to you on making the changes that have made such a great difference!!:cool1:

Thanks. I am really trying to become healthier. I am currently 160 lbs and 5 ft 5; I want to loose 10 - 15 lbs.
 
HDL is the good cholesterol and LDL is the bad cholesterol.

Did your HDL go down? I would double check your numbers. Good luck to you.

The bad went down 15 points and the good went down 1. I get confused on the Acronyms.
