My Celebration Vacation

Just found your TR! Sounds like you had a great time. Now I want to stay CSR, your pictures are great!

All the pics of food are making me hungry. I need to try Le Cellier, maybe if DH and I can get an alone trip.

Looking forward to more.

Melissa

Hi Melissa,

I loved my stay at CSR. The only bad thing was I didn't take the time to enjoy it. :sad1:

If want a meal at LeCellier, book it now. It was hard to get an ADR. I kept trying to change our ADR to an earlier time, but did not succeed. I think the risotta would have been better and not so pasty, if we had been there earlier. If you go the chedder cheese soup was really good.

Thanks for reading my trip report.

Peggy

Sorry you missed TSM! It's too bad everyone has to run there first thing in order to get on it. I love ToT as well!

Hi 3WDW,

Yes, now I know I should have got there earlier and grabbed a fastpass. I wish I lived closer to WDW so I could go more often. There is so much to see and do there. ;) OH well, was really happy with the RnR coaster and TOT.

I remembered from my last trip that I liked the Great Movie Ride, but I couldn’t remember what was in it.

Outside the Great Movie Ride

I was wondering how close this theater was to Grauman's Chinese Theatre. So I looked it up and found a picture. Here is a picture of the real Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

That is a great replica.

When we were just getting in line a cm handed me a tag and told me to give it to the cm right before we get on the ride. Now I know how they figure out how long the ride time is.

I took some pictures in the lobby of the theater.

I took a picture of this dress, when I came around to the front of the dress the lined moved. So I couldn’t take a picture of it.

WDWAug2008113.jpg

We must have been in this line for over a half hour. We saw the film twice and they were starting on the third time when we finally got on the boat. I really did like the ride and wished I had taken some pictures.

On our way to the front of the park we saw this. So cute.

I don’t know what it is with this park. We spent so much time in lines and looking for the Toy Story ride and then the ABC diner and now it is time to leave. I felt like we hardly saw anything.

We had a 4:10 ADR at the Coral Reef. So, once again we are back at Epcot.

Coming up a change in dinner plans.

OH, I hate that you missed TSM. We will be at WDW this weekend and really want to go ride TSM, but I know it means being there at 8:00am since it is a EMH morning. Getting my son up will be horrible, but he loves Star Tours. Oh, I agree about Star Tours. They need to upgrade it. There is so much more they could do with it now.

We enjoy the Great Movie Ride also. In your one pic there is a guy with a look of "why are you taking a picture in here?" All I could think was he must not be a diser and doesn't understand we need pics for our TR's!

Looking forward to more!:goodvibes

Hi Melissa,

I laughed when I read about that guys look in GMR. I went back and looked at the picture and laughed some more:rotfl: I guess you do have to be a diser to get it.

I'm sorry I missed the TSM. 12 years ago we came to WDW with our 3 kids and I saw more that time then this time. I don't know if I was less organized or just moving slower. I keep telling myself to concentrate on what I did get to see and not what I missed. I wonder if anyone else has problems with this?

Have fun on your return trip and tell us all about it.

Peggy

We catch a bus from Hollywood Studios to Epcot.

 It was 3:30 and we a 4:10 ADR at Coral Reef. We have two problems, one we are not hungry and they took off the menu the crab legs we wanted to eat. Last March we looked over the menus on allears.net and saw that the Coral Reef had crab legs. That was perfect for us. We were really looking forward to the atmosphere of the Coral Reef and the crab legs. First I asked at the desk if we could change our ADR to a later time. No such luck. “We book up months in advance I was told.” Okay so we check out the current menu:

Entrees
Grilled NY Strip Steak - served with potatoes au gratin, and broccolini $32.99
Seared Sterling Salmon with ratatouille $23.99
Blackened Catfish - served over pepper jack cheese grits, with smoked tomato compote, balsamic glaze $20.99
Grilled Chicken Breast - served with roasted parsnips tossed in mizuna and almond-parsley pesto finished with toasted almonds $20.99
Seafood Linguini with sauteed shrimp, mahi mahi, salmon, mussels, andouille sausage and slow-roasted tomatoes $23.99
Grilled Mahi Mahi - served with cashew-jasmine rice topped with a spicy pineapple chutney finished with a malibu rum beurre blanc $25.99
Grilled Pork Chop - served with caramelized shallots and sweet onion mashed potatoes topped with wild mushroom sauce $22.99
Pan Seared Tofu Skewer - served over spring herb quinoa finished with vegetable stock $16.99

We weren’t hungry enough to find something that we liked. So I reluctantly cancelled our ADR. I hope some hungry people enjoyed their dinner. :stir: Okay now we decided to go around the world and see what we missed the other day. We stopped at Club Cool… :cool1:

WDWAug2008120.jpg

… and tasted the beverages from around the world.

WDWAug2008119.jpg

I read enough trip reports not to taste Beverly, but DH didn’t. He really didn’t like it. :scared1: I did like the beverage from Mexico. We still needed a place to eat. We ate at the Beirgarten on our last visit and liked it. I called Disney dining and was able to get a later ADR there. Here is their menu that is on Allears.net:

Not the greatest picture, but here is a pyramid. My camera has the slowest shutter speed. I push the button and seconds later a picture is taken of something else.

Next is Norway.

Sorry the CR didn't work out for you. They took the crab legs off a while ago. I've always wanted to try the Beirgarten, maybe next time. Love your pic's. Can't wait to see more.:thumbsup2

Hi Linda,

I am so far behind on this trip report. Work just keeps me too busy. :guilty:

I was dissapointed about the crab legs, but the Beirgarten food was good. I can always make my own crab legs. :goodvibes . Not only am I behind on writing my own trip report, I am also behind on reading others. One of these weekends, I'll take a day and just do trip reports. Not this weekend because I am going to the Covered Bridge Festival in Rockville, In. I have never been to it before, but I have heard it is fun.

I am going to try and post a few pictures tonight. Thanks for writing.

Peggy

Okay, on to Norway. I was disappointed the ride wasn't working. :sad1:

Now China

WDWAug2008133.jpg

WDWAug2008134.jpg

When we entered China there were acrobats preforming. I tried to get pictures but I kept getting other people's heads. :rotfl: The acrobats were very good.

We entered the next room and checked out the warriors. I remember seeing the warriors on the "The Amazing Race" a few years ago.

Hi 3WDW,

I'll second that wish.

Your DH is a good sport to sit back and wait on you to have your fun. I'm fortunate to have a DH that loves WDW and Roller coasters. I have to admit, I was a little anxious about TOT. I don't like the drop kind very much. I loved it - we rode it twice! On the other hand there's never been a roller coaster I was afraid to ride. RnRC was also great.

Go ahead and take your time. I'm not getting my TR done to quickly either. I love reading about everyone else's experiences.

I hope you have/had fun at the Covered Bridge Festival. I've been, but not lately. We actually went to Mansfield the last few times. It is east of Rockville. I was a little disappointed - it's becoming a lot like Shippshewana. Too much cheap junk and clothing. Not as many crafts.:headache:

How was Beirgarten with just the two of you? We are looking at doing it next year but all I've ever read is about families going there. I'd like to hear about if from a couples perspective.

Loving your trip report!!

I didn't even know about the Warriors. Guess we didn't explore China well enough. Now we need to make another trip to Epcot. DS will think these are cool! The pics are great.

I can't think of a more fun place to go for such a special celebration! Enjoying your trip report.

He's cute!!

Everytime I try to get a picture of this guy there's someone crawling all over him.

I had the very same problem. The only time I got to see the acrobats were when they were flying in the air.:lmao:

We entered the next room and checked out the warriors. I remember seeing the warriors on the "The Amazing Race" a few years ago.

Love the topiaries. (sp) Never got to see any or should I say notice any with all the rain.:sad2:

Hello! I love PTR's! And what a great reason to go. Isn't it funny how theraputic and much fun the dis can be?

Hi Lazy,

Thanks for writing. I wonder if I will ever finish this report. I also have been spending more time reading everyone elses TR instead of writing my own.

I did go to the Covered Bridge Festival. We had great weather. I agree with you that the booths in Mansfield were just like Shippshewana. So I wasn't real impressed with the shopping. I did enjoy the scenery. All the leaves were changing and it was beautiful there. The bed and breakfast was a differnet experiance. No tv. :sad1: It was decorated as it would have been in 1883 when it was built. I did have a good time and was glad I went.

I am always anxious before I get on a roller coaster, but once I am on I love it. I really liked Everest. :thumbsup2

I hope tomorrow to work on my TR.

Peggy

Loving your trip report!!

Hi,

I really enjoyed the Biergarten. I thought it was fun and the food was good. We had a late dinner so there was no entertainment. We were seated with a nice family and talked with them through the whole meal. I guess if you were sitting with someone obnoxious it wouldn't be nice. We both enjoy meeting new people from different places so we didn't have a problem talking with other people. I think you should try it there. We didn't feel out of place at all.

Thanks for reading my report. I will try to post some more soon.

Peggy
