My cat is not happy

JoJo kitty is one unhappy camper. I have informed her (yes I talk to her) that she is on lockdown and not allowed outside for the remainder of the weekend. She is expressing her extreme displeasure with me right now. Guess I will have to get her treats tomorrow.

Once she gets done with lock down I would just keep her inside period ................to many things happen to cats left outside, especially after reading some of the posts the last few days, someones kitty got poisoned and someone else on here shoots them with bb guns! It would be a much safer kitty left inside, to many sickos out there any more.

My kitty doesn't go outside unless she's on a leash and then I check her every 15 minutes. She gets outside rarely. Too many bad things can happen outside.

I hear ya - my cat is VERY upset with us because we boarded up the house today. Now her majesty can't see outside unless we leave the door to the front porch open... Yes, Mystic, going to the window 30 times will NOT magicially open it!

I understand. My cat would drive us crazy when inside. He ripped the screens and would escape and he learned how to open the screens to escape. We had him for 11 years and he was hit by a car almost 2 weeks ago and our hearts are breaking! But, sometimes you just cannot keep them in.

After losing 2 cats to the coyotes this summer we have made our cats "inside" cats, it took about to 2 weeks but they seem to have adjusted. Of course now mommie is considering putting in a sun room for the cats so they can have a faux outside place to hang out in.

I'm not the crazypetlady for nothing.

We really fought this decision for a long time as we feel cats need to be outside but we decided we cannot handle the heartbreak of losing anymore cats.

Our last 4 cats have been indoor pets. They have lived to be about 17. Usually, outdoor cats do not make it to this age. Oh, and they have all been perfectly happy to be inside.

I prefer to keep mine inside, too. Out of the 8 cats I had only 1 was went out. I have lost 6 in a year and a half and all but one was to old age (16 and 17) illnesses and I have 2 now. Trixie was 18 in March and Mogwi was 14 in April.

Most cats can be made indoor cats but Cliff was an exception.
