Out of my 2 cats . . .I have one that is wire chewer fresh kitty.

We have gone through several pairs of headsets for cd players, stereos, phone wires . . .When does it end?

I am constantly looking around to make sure there isn't anything laying around that can be chewed . . .BUT, alas, DS left his headphones by the computer and in an instant, WHAM, they are chewed to bits . . .

The cat looks at you like I didn't do anything . . . Then goes about his normal business . . .I just don't get it:confused:

I have a kitty just like just like that only her fetish is to scratch the furniture.
It doesn't matter how many times I yell at her, squirt her (she loves water) etc. She just looks at you like "WHAT????"

Sounds like he is part hamster!!!!!!!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_10_8.gif' border=0></a>

wire chewer and blanket sucker here
my other one is so good. i wish it would rub off on my bad boy.

My youngest kitty likes to lick plastic bags and any plastic wrappers(like the plastic around the toilet paper) She tried to eat the plastic ribbon on one of my son's projects!!

you should try the spray stuff, you spray it on and it tastes bad so the cats don't eat it anymore. They sell it @ pet supply stores.

tricia.

Use this stuff called "Bitter Apple" I at one time worked in a Vets office and the things animals ate is amazing. I have seen so may cats and dogs die because their owners were not able to affored the surgery to help them or they just were to late getting the poor things to the Vet in time.

Please go something to spray on the wires so your poor kitty does not end up at the vets and you with a very high vet bill.

I agree, look for a product called Bitter Apple at the pet stores. You may have to look in the training or dog areas to find it. Spray that on the wires your cat tends to try to chew, and he'll stop. At least until the spray wears off.

We have two cats that chew wires. They tend to leave electrical wires alone, but do a number on speaker and telephone wires. They completely destroyed the speaker wires for my surround sound system and got into the speaker wires in the back of one of my guitar amps.

We tried the bitter apple spray with minimal success. What wire we couldn't tuck away, we put shielding on that you can get at Radio Shack. It's a heavey plastic spiral that you put over the smaller wires. That's the only thing that seems to work with our cats.
