So, my MIL said she'd take DD16 shopping for two new outfits for Easter rather than giving her candy or junk. We went to Kohls first.
She picked out a cami marked dwon to 4.99 from 12, a Pirates of the Carribean teeshirt marked down to 8.99 from $20, and a pair of capris marked down to 17.99 from 36.
Their dress/skirt selection was awful, and she needed a dress for an event next weekend, so we went over to Penneys because she had one "outfit" left.
She found a dress that was originally $26 marked down to 12.99. My MIL said that was cheap, so she could pick out something else. She picked out a shirt that was $26 marked down to 15. Then she found a four piece set that was leggings, a tunic top and a tee-shirt that went under it that was 36 marked down to 19.99.
Then of course my MIL is a sap so she threw in a set of earrings that were 12 marked down to 8
We get up to the counter, and there was a $10 off your total purchase in the ad, so the cashier gave us that.
So the Dress was $10.96, the shirt was $12.65, the four piece set was $16.86 and the earrings were $6.94.
She ended up with a ton of stuff for $85, which was about what my MIL was figuring she'd spend on a dress, a pair of pants and a shirt.

Good for her! My dd 13 is really good at shopping for deals too! Her friends love to go with her because they know they will get more for their money! I love to see teens being able to make wise purchasing decisions.
