LOL! That is how our jrt is ... she will bully the biggest dog (even horses last week) but she is terrified of anything smaller than she is!

They must be related!!!!HAAAAAAA He is the exact same way!!! I guess they are always up for the challenge of something bigger than they are. HEHE

My DH got the book Jack Russell Terrier's for Dummies for me for Christmas, and it said in there that this is a common quality, they don't realize they themselves are small and will go after larger animals. They called it the Napoleon Complex.

Over Christmas break we took our JRT to visit family for the very first time, staying with my brother and his family. They have 2 dogs (a massive black lab and a 3 lb. maltese) and their son has a JRT (very tiny 3 month old female). Dash loved the lab and followed him around, they became best buddies. But the 2 that were smaller than him terrified him! The maltese only had to look in Dash's direction and Dash would turn around and take off, the female JRT took great delight in terrorizing Dash and constantly was jumping on him. Poor little guy! He was so happy to be back home and King of the house again

I have a parakeet, cockatiel, and African Grey Parrot, the parakeet bullies the cocatiel who bullies the Parrot The parrot in turn bullies my ds who is 12 and much bigger than he is !!
