My boys' TAKS scores are back!!

Both got commended performance for reading!!
Josh's score was 41 out of 42. His standard scale score needed to be 2100 to pass. The score for commended performance was 2400. He made 2647.

Benji's score was 38 out 40. His scale score to pass was 2100. Hi scale score was 2423, with 2400 being the commended performance scale score.

They both just nailed it. They also did very well in math and Benji did very well in reading. I'm so proud of both my boys and I'm so glad this is over for this year!!

we call them something else in New York.

They tell everyone not to get uptight about it, but there are some grades that if you don't pass this test, you don't get promoted. They say it's just a test, yet, it's all anyone can talk about for months before the test. They have pep rallies and t-shirts, and oodles of parents' meetings about it!! And now it's over till next year!!! Thank God!!
