and I'm really choked up about it. Just prepared her back-pack through misty eyes. Just doesn't seem possible - where have the last 2 1/2 years gone?

I know how you feel, I actually get more choked up when the school year ends, than at the beginning. Mine will be finishing up nursery school soon, and I can't believe how fast it's gone by. She's my last one out of 3, and it's really getting to me

Just wondering, why is she starting preschool this late in the year? our program starts in sept, ends in two weeks. It's through our school district, so of course they follow the school calendar

Oops, just noticed you're on the UK board, now I know why she's just starting at this time of year.

Hi Joanne

Good luck for tomorrow, you will feel like this with all their milestones, my youngest DD started Secondary school in September and I can't believe where the past 11 years have gone

So I hope your little girl has a great day, and that you don't worry too much :grouphug:

hi joanne
my ds started pre-school last year and he goes to big school in september.....i still feel really proud of him when he sets of in his uniform with his bag and he is really excited about big school now and not a bit scared
i hope your dd has a lovely time and i bet she will make lots of new friends and have a great time
try and have a break when she is there, some time just for you :)

Oh bless.... I remember that feeling! I hope she (and you!) have a good day tomorrow :)

When my eldest one started I didn't feel like this, I guess it was all new to me as much as it was for her but Emily's a lot less "grown up" than Amber was at the same age so I'm feeling it more.

Aw bless, how did she go on?
I feel like this every term lol, I always get choked when I see Chelsea off to school, with her little bag its amazing how they grow so quickly.

She was fine while playing with toys and doing arts and crafts etc. When it came to sitting on the mat for story time and staying seated at snack time she wasn't having a bar of it! Still, she is only 2 and a half, someone else can have the pleasure of trying to get her to do as she's told a couple of times a week!
