I have to tell you....I am so impressed with Kathy. Yes, yes I love the whole team!
I don't know about you, but we often talk about moving closer to the mouse. I don't see us really going, but we like to talk about it. Kathy has actually done it. And, she did it alone with small kids who depended on her. I don't think she had any family in Florida to lean on or look to for support. To actually leave where you're comfortable, and move to a new place take alot of courage. What do you do for girlfriends? Who's a good pediatrician? What is the school system like? Where do you read the water meter? and the list goes on and on.
Kathy faced all those challenges and came out smiling. She still hasn't let Pete's rants get her down, or John's doom and gloom outlook effect her. She still is filled with the magic! I love it! I love that she still gets goosebumps! I love that she is excited!
Keep up the great work, Kathy! You represent alot of us when you bring your sense of the magic to the podcast. Thank you!

I agree with you on all counts. In addition to being a very positive person, Kathy is very down to earth which I love.

I enjoy every single member of the Podcast Team, each of them brings something special to the table, and I can relate to each of them in different ways.

Thank you for your kind thoughts. Just for the record my kids weren't that little when we moved to FL. My youngest had just graduated from High School.

I can tell you that moving to FL was a piece of cake compared to dealing with life after my husband died. Nothing has been as hard as dealing with life after he passed away.

My best friend lived in Pgh. I knew she was always a phone call away until she died.

I have always been stubborn and have been down but I was never out. Moving to Florida was one of the best things I ever did. After my husband died everyone said I seemed different. Moving to Florida I could be the new me. No one here knew me and I could start a new life.

I love my life here in Florida.

Kathy is terrific and a tremendous asset to the Podcast Team.

The entire podcast team have been in the position you describe.

None of us were born here.

None of us had family in Florida.

We all decided that this is where we wanted to live and family followed us.

You can do it too!

Kathy, thank you for sharing..you are amazing! I've been married 39 years and I can only imagine how hard life without your husband has been! I love your spirit, your openess, and how you deal with life's adversities. I'm sure you have been an inspiration to many people, myself included.

Oh Kevin, you don't know how you tempt me! DH and I talk about it, but don't really know how to work such a big change. We love Florida, hate the winters here, but we have family, jobs, etc. etc. etc.....
I totally agree that Kathy is amazing. I love her bits on the podcast and seeing her "what K-cup are you enjoying today...." posts on my FB page. Kathy reminds me that the little things really are the big things.

I think this is why I truly enjoy listening to all of you. You've done what I hope to do. Soon. Hence my screen name. ;)

My husband and I have been planning on moving to FL (when we both retire :teacher: btw, I teach physical science) in June 2018. We've been counting since 2005....we're getting there... 6.5 years left! :yay::yay::yay:

I have to agree that I really love listening to Kathy and all of the crew...each person is so interesting and unique!!! Thanks again!!!
