My "already purchased "Airfare has dropped!

Now what? It only dropped $10 on the out going trip! Will they issue me a credit? Also can I combine credits...because there are 5 of us?

Which Airline did you purchase you trip from.

AA will issue vouchers for that amount if your price has gone down.

Contact the Reservations office and give them your flight number and date. They should be able to retrieve the info and issue you a voucher via mail.

If you booked through a travel agent, you may be out of luck.

Song and Delta will also issue travel credit vouchers. But they are issued to each person holding a ticket and must be redeemed by that person.

We actually booked through Song! Just curious?...can we use the credit voucher for food in flight?
Honestly, it is not likely we will be traveling again with Song anytime soon! We usually fly Continental!

You may actually be flying Song (or at least their parent, Delta) a bit more in the future ... Delta entered a code-share partnership with Northwest and Continental last summer, and there are starting to be more and more shared flights between these 3 companies.

AspiringCindy ~ I don't think they can be redeemed for food, but it's worth a call to find out. I may call tomorrow and I'll let you know. I have 4 worth $24 each. You have a year from the date the voucher was issued to redeem and complete travel with the voucher, I was told.

By the way, where I am is far from "earth's purgatory"! It's really nice here in Sussex county

We have been to Space Farms a number of times as well as cut Christmas trees in Branchville! Sussex is really nice and woodsy! It is so "Not" Jersey!!

The way airline prices go up and down drives me crazy!!

My nephew asked the day before yesterday if he could go with us to Florida. Yesterday, my sister got him booked on the same Song flights we'll be on for $366. Today the price for our flights is $321.!! A $45. drop in one day! Why do they fluctuate like that??

Hey Cindy ~ UPDATE! - I just called Song, and the rep. told me travel voucher cannot be used for food. They can be used for extra baggage fees, change fees (if you make changes to your scheduled flights - had I known that, I might have made a change there) or another flight. I questioned him about the one year limit and he said as long as the tickets are purchased within a year from the date the voucher was issued that's fine. So if my voucher was issued Feb. 13, 2004, I have til Feb. 12, 2005 to purchase tix, even if the flight isn't til Aug., 2005. This contradicts what the first rep. told me. Clear as mud?

When you were at Space Farms and in Branchville, you were within 15 minutes of us! We love it up here. I always wanted to move here - I grew up in Wayne, then lived in West Paterson after we were married. Moved here 12 years ago.
