Hi i am trying to get back on WW, ( started in jan 06', but i gained it back plus some) I was reading alittle about Alli on here by seaching out the topic, and i see that people lost dramatic amounts of weight in a very short time. Is that Healthy? I am following a low fat / fat free plan, with lots of fresh fruit and veggies, But the evening meal with my family does not "count" as healthy and i do not want to eat or pre-pare a seperate meal for myself each evening.
I would like to lose that 15 extra lbs i gained, so not alot, but enough. I am scared when i see those #'s for Alli weight loss......what happens to a body when it loses 10#'s in 2 weeks? Is that all water? I guess i am still thinking the WW way of S-l-o-w and easy.
It took me 6mths of this way of eating and lots of walking to lose 15lbs 2 years ago.....So if it can come off faster, I am all for it :) but i do not want to make my body sick either. it is bad to lose that much so quickly.

I will research Alli more, but i wanted to ask fello DIS'ers.
thank you

Tina

I tried Alli in desperation over the summer and promptly gave it to a coworker, who ended up throwing it out. The pills are not bad per say, and I did not stay on them long enough to see if they work or not.

Simply, I started the pills on a Saturday. (They tell you to start on the weekend in case you react badly to them.) No problems at all, spent all week with no issue. Then comes Friday. Went out to a restaurant as we do every Friday. Had broth based soup, grilled fish, rice and a slice of bread. Low fat right? apparently not.

Lets just say ad stuff happened that night and I couldn't leave the bathroom all Saturday into Sunday.

Gave up right then and there. My co-worker reacted immediately to them and could not use them at all.
