We're going September 13-20, cast of characters:
me (36)
DH (40)
DSister (33)
DSon (17 months)
maybe Ddad (63)
location: 2 bedroom BWV

because we're bringing our son we want to be very flexible, not make too many commitments and go with the flow. And my dad and sister will babysit during the evenings. (I told my dad he could stay with us for free if he babysits during the evenings.)

However we want to maximize time, so we might use the unofficial guide touring plans. BTW, we've been to disneyland 5 million times, DH grew up 10 minutes from there, DSister is a fanatic, so we kind of know the lay of the disney land, as it were.

Saturday: arrive, go shopping for food, maybe go to Boardwalk that night
Sunday: Epcot, afternoon nap and pool? Illuminations
Monday: MGM, PS Boma dinner
Tuesday: AK, PS for me and DH at Cal Grill (anniversary!) MK fireworks (if they have them) Pleasure Island
Wednesday: MK, then open for evening
Thursday: open for whatever, fantasmic at night maybe
Friday: MK again, evening wide open
Saturday: Epcot again, the catch plane at 6pm

What do you think. We're renting a car

Also, do any of you keep your WDW plans a secret from friends and co-workers. Because we're west cost most people go to disneyland, I think people think we're weird going to WDW for a week. So I haven't told too many people.

What a great trip, and it looks like you have wonderful plans in place already. The Epcot/Boardwalk area is a great place when you have little ones. It's so easy to go back for a nap or a break. We stayed at the Dolphin, also in the Epcot area. We liked to go to one park in the a.m., then back to hotel for pool/nap, then to another park for the evening. I would highly recommend that. With your open evenings and built in baby sitter (lucky you!), be sure to check out Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk one evening. You also need to head over to some of the great restaurants in World Showcase at Epcot. Maybe even try to get a PS at one where you can watch Illuminations right after. Definitely go to MGM in the evening and catch Fantasmic.

If you use the unofficial guide touring plans, make sure you have the brand new 2004 edition or check the website for updates. We just went with our 3 yo and 1 yo. We used the unofficial guide touring plans as a starting point, but really only followed it for the must ride attractions when we first entered the parks. I think you're going at a time when it won't be too busy, so you might be able to just enjoy yourself and go with the flow.

Also use the Fastpasses, and be sure to get a Child Watcher pass for the person who is watching the baby. Then somebody will be able to ride twice.

Thanks for the feedback! Dad decided today he wasn't coming, other plans (so hard to be retired, where to go, where to go?)
