Hey,
I know the place is full with plans to get over 240.000 points at fireworks, but I thought since I score regularly over 250.000 and 260.000 I could give you my personal version of advice.
Rule Nr.1: Relax!
This is the most important thing to remember. You have to be relaxed to play the game. If other things fly around your head, or there are people near you that distract you in the wrong moment it´s almost impossible to get a high score.
Also, my personal experience in the beginning was that you get nervous if you missed one or more fireworks and then start to mess up after that.
Don´t ! Relax! If you miss a firework or 2, no problem! Just try to relax and continue your game.
Rule Nr.2: You don´t have to score Flawless every time
This is also very important since a lot of people think you have to score flawless every time to get over 240.000. This isn´t true. You can get over 240 with an average score. Try to concentrate on hitting a lot of fireworks and not a few with flawless. Sure, you have to score flawless some times to get a high score, but it´s worse to miss a lot of fireworks. So couple of "Good" or even an "ok" is no problem at all. If you are not sure you can score a flawless because you didn´t got the timing for certain fireworks...fine too, just try to score awesome.
Rule Nr.3: Do it step by step. Try to do personal level records
Set yourself small steps. For example: Concentrate on certain fireworks and their timing. Try to get a good timing on blue and orange fireworks. Later on if you think you got the timing right, concentrate on the next one. Continue with this. It will take some time, but sooner or later you will get a pretty good feeling for the timing. It´s usual that you can´t get everythin right in the first moments. So...remember Rule Nr.1 (most important

Try to beat your own records every level. Normally you won´t do that every time of course, but it´s good to write certain scores down and try to beat it. After a while you might get to the final level. Great! Then try to set a personal record and beat it next time you play. If you don´t...no problem, just try it again
It´s good to get a look at other very good players to see what is possible, but try to beat your own records not theirs. Because if you try to beat theirs it can get frustrating pretty soon. So don´t do this unless you are able to score pretty high.
Rule Nr.4: Routine
Well, if you follow the instructions all you got to do is practice. As most things in life, even a game (and especially this one) needs a lot of practice. So after you´ve done the game couple of times your score should get higher Don´t lose your motivation if it doesn´t , just continue to try.
There are also some days where you can´t score a thing. I have those too, I guess every player does. If you messed up a couple of times, just try something else that day. There is lot to do in VMK not only fireworks! Just try next day
Rule Nr.5: It´s just a game....and it should be fun
It´s just a game! Remember that and don´t take it to seriously. You should have fun when you play it. If you don´t have fun with it, don´t do it because the whole thing is about having fun!
So as a conclusion, I hope I could help some of those people outside.
I know there are a lot of other guides here too, and I used couple of them myself (they are good too!), but I just wanted to add my personal opinion.
