My advice...keep all your emails and check your credit card statement

I just checked MDE and 2 cancelled reservations are now on back on my list. I’m afraid to cancel them again and get hit with a no show. I may ask concierge at the hotel to do it for me next week.

Same here. I tried re-cancelling and it won’t let me. I suspect they’re phantoms and not really there. Sounds like a lot of people are having this same issue (along with a myriad of other issues with MDE).

OP, did the person you spoke to at Disney make you provide the emails to serve as proof of the cancellations? Or did they reverse the charges without seeing the emails?

Ugh I feel like this is going to be an issue for me next trip as my MDE is really messed up and showing reservations I have cancelled. Thankfully I have the cancellation emails saved!

Thanks for the heads up!

I don't have the emails. But, I will be printing out what is showing before we go. I'll double check there aren't any errors at the concierge desk.
Just to add, if anyone has these "magically appearing" cancelled reservations and they are blocking you from making new ones, the Disney Dining phone line has been great about overriding and making a new reservation for me.

Do you happen to know if they can remove the cancelled reservations? I don’t have anything interfering, but I don’t want them on there. I also don’t want to waste time on the phone if there’s nothing they can do.

No they were really great and did not give me a hard time But I suspect this will continue to be an issue with MDE such a hot mess.

So far IT hasn't been able to remove the phantom dining ressies. That old cancelled reservations are hanging around is annoying for sure.
I'm not crazy about calling, but I do call the dining line when the phantom ressies block me from a new reservation.

We had a phantom reservation come back during our stay at the beginning of September. Went to the BCV concierge to get it taken care of and they made it sound like I didn't cancel in time. We had it cancelled and it returned. They got it off and didn't charge me the fee, although it sounds like that was the beginning of the issues for everyone.

Has this worked? I have a bunch of phantom ADRs and I'm still on the hunt for better times for a few of my current ADRs, so I've been worried about not being able to make the new reservation if there's a time conflict with the phantom. I have yet to call, just been waiting for MDE to get its act together...

Yes, calling has worked well for me, thankfully.
When the Disney Dining CM answer I briefly say, "Hi, I am one of the folks with MDE errors. The IT people said to call you if I need help with dining reservations."
Then I proceed as normal. Fingers crossed you find and get the reservations you are looking for. :flower3:
