Well, y'all have convinced me of the need for ADR's during the free dining plan weeks. I've finally started booking my restaurants. So far I've got

Tutto Italia for dinner - probably going for the Lasagna and Tiramisu for desert. First time eating here.
Whispering Canyon Cafe for lunch - Skillet! Ate here in 2008 and really liked it. Lunch seemed a bit calmer with the antics for 2 adults.
Boma for Dinner - never been to AKL, and want to check out the property.

Still have 2 more to book. Maybe thinking about a signature which will use 2, or try a cool breakfast somewhere. I SHOULD let the wife pick something! Still debating over Boatwrights, since we're staying at POR, but nothing on the menu really jumps out at me.

I love your choices. I've done all 3 of those and they're fantastic. I wouldn't advise you to go to Boatwrights though. We always stay at POR too but Boatwrights was awful when we tried it. Very bad service and I've seen many posts on here saying the same thing.

I'd go for Flying Fish over at the Boardwalk resort! It is 2 table service credits but the food is the best on Disney property and is a must do for me every trip!:thumbsup2

Just booked an evening at the Kona Cafe. This will probably end up being a steak night. Which one is better the Ginger Crusted Rib Eye or the Teriyaki style New York Strip? Are both still offered? I typically like a good dry seasoning steak with no steak sauce, so would lean more towards the Rib eye... but never heard of Ginger used for steak seasoning!

One more ADR to go! May leave this one open for a bit of flexibility when we get to the park. Looking at possibly another Epcot choice, or possibly something at Downtown Disney... Not real sure which restaurants count as TS over at DD though.

Love Kona. Can't speak for the marinades. I always ask for my steak without seasoning. :goodvibes

DH and I have contemplated Boatwrights b/c we love cajun, but the terrible reviews have kept us away. I was tempted to book it anyway for our Oct trip, but changed my mind. It's only thing when some people say it's bad, but entirely another when almost everyone says it is. :)

There aren't a lot of TS restaurants (as far as on the DDP) to chose from in DTD. Your choices are:

Cap’n Jack’s Restaurant
Planet Hollywood
Raglan Road
Wolfgang Puck Cafe (first floor only) (Express is CS)

Portobello

Portobello does not take the DDP, does it? It's not listed on Disney's brochure online. Maybe they accept it as part of the premiere dining package. That's why I did not list it. Other TS restaurants that don't take it are T-Rex, Rainforest, Bongos, Paradiso 37, House of Blues and Fulton's.

Raglan Road at DTD is very good and the entertainment is alot of fun also. This is a must do restaurant for us every year we go.
