Ok, I am starting to get scared that I didn't make the right choice about my ADR's. It's our late honeymoon, our first vacation together alone..I just want it to be perfect!! I thought I got everything I wanted, but now I'm scared I didn't choose enough variety. DH & I are pretty picky eaters so thats the main reason I chose these...Any suggestions??

Here is what we have right now:

September 22: ADR at 8:00 pm at Le Cellier, it's our arrival day.(Note. We are eating at Le Cellier twice because its my favorite restaurant, I've never tried it at dinner time so I switched my ADR from Nine Dragons to Le Cellier after calling a million times to get this seating. Now I'm wondering if I made the wrong choice...)

September 23:
lunch reservations at Coral Reef, 2:00 pm. (DH chose this place because of the atmosphere, we don't like seafood but plan on getting the steak. This is the one place DH chose the whole trip, besides Nine Dragons which I already changed, so I want to keep it.)

September 24:
Lunch reservations at Tony's Town Square. Magic Kingdom EMH Night hours night.I've eaten there twice in the past, I enjoyed it.
(Now, don't make fun of me! But I have a confession. Yes, I am a grown woman and I am terrifed of the characters! I have no idea why, it's been since I was a child. So I feel like this is the only place that I can eat at the in the Magic Kingdom now. I used to LOVE Cinderella's Royal Table, but now its changed into a character thing all day...I would love to try the other places but I start to freak out when a character starts to come near me, or touches me!! what should I do?? don't make fun of me!)

September 25:
Mama Melrose Fantasmic! Package. I've also eaten here once before, I loved the chicken parm!!! But I don't know if we'll be in the mood for italian again? agh!! very excited about seeing Fantasmic for the first time!!

September 26:
Concourse Steakhouse dinner, any other suggestions on anywhere else to eat? I ate there once before, I like it. I love the Contemporary and thats the main reason I want to go there, to tour it and convince DH to stay there one day!

September 27:
'Ohana!! 7:40 pm. I am soo excited about trying this for the first time!!!

September 28:
Le Cellier lunch time.

September 29:
leave :sad2:

I would go to California Grill for sure over the concourse steakhouse....other than that, it looks good! Enjoy! :sunny:

I would cancel the second Le Cellier and have dinner at the California Grill (around 8pm) so you can catch the fireworks and enjoy the great view! Its 2TS but you can just split an appetizer and dessert and pay out of pocket for one main course. I think it would be worth it.

I haven't been to Concourse but from the photos i've seen it doesn't strike me as super romantic or 'Disneyish'. How about a character meal like at the Crystal Palace? It's beautiful there and you get to meet Pooh and Friends...if you book early enough for breakfast you'll get to go into the Magic Kingdom before everyone else!

I think I read the Concourse takes two dining credits, also the Coral reef LOOKS COOL but heard the food was not so great. I don't have first hand knowledge though so if anyone out there has eaten there lately?

I am trying the Garden grill, the menu looks agreeable for myself and my seven year old. I also have Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki, Kona Cafe, Crystal Palace, and Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Could not get on for LeCellier, I tried...we are going Sept.25-30 and they are booked up.

hehe, I don't think you read my whole post. :teeth: Thanks for the suggestion about Crystal Palace though.

I would like to eat at California Grill, but we are pretty picky. I don't think we would like it.

Hey Donna!

Le Cellier WAS so hard to get into!! I called constantly!!!

We are going from September 22-29!! Where are you staying?? Maybe we'll see you there!!! :cool1:

BTW, Concourse Steakhouse only takes 1 dining credit. I think your thinking of California Grill- thats another restaurant at the Contemporary that takes two TS credits. Coral Reef used to take two, but now its only one.

I researched the places alot before we booked the ADR's. I hope nothing changes before then!! :wizard:

Well Kona is my favorite but I see you are already doing Ohana I don't know if you want to head to the POLY twice if you are not staying there. I think your choices sound great and have a great time!

 sorry...yes, if characters terrify you then Crystal Palace is probably out the door then...!

Since you guys like Italian food, how about Alfredo di Roma, they have tables outside I think which are quite nice! And not a character in sight (although you might get a flirty waiter :teeth: )

I'd swap Mama Melrose for Alfredo and maybe do Sci-Fi (you're in the dark in a cosy car!)

The only change I would make if I were you is to switch the Yachtsman Steakhouse over the Concourse. You can still visit the Contemporary and who knows maybe after seeing the Yacht & Beach Clubs your dh may want to stay there sometime! We ate dinner recently at both places and the Yachtsman was better food wise and atmosphere wise especially hands down over the Concourse. Surprisingly our bills at both places were almost the same.

I really have been dying to try the Kona Cafe!! I think their menu looks so yummy!!!

I actually really really want to go to the Sci-Fi!! I went there twice in the past, but kind of held back with what I ordered because of the prices. Now that I have the dining plan, I could order anything I wanted!!! Can you get the Fantasmic package there?? I've never seen Fantasmic, and thats the main reason we are going to Mama Melrose again, to get the package.

I also really want to thank everybody who replied so far, I really do appreciate it!! I am putting all these places on a list right now, and when DH gets home we are going to go over all the menus again!

I love the Dis!! :cloud9:

You know, the crowds in late September may not be so heavy that you need the package to get good seats. You could eat at Sci Fi then just queue up for Fantasmic in the general line. The seats for the package are actually kind of off to the side. They aren't *bad*, but you can get much better ones just showing up early.

Congratulations on your honeymoon!

The Sci Fi is not a fantasmic restaurant. They are only BD,MAma's and hollywood and Vine. In my opoinion I would not cancel the fantasmic package I think it is great not having to wait in line forever to get in. We had great seats and could see everything really well.I am going to check out Kona myself thanks for all the insight everyone!
