My ADR's for next week... thoughts?
Suggestions?
We are a meat and potato kinda family. Enjoy a good quality (If thats Disney Possible) sit down meal...not really into burgers or "fast food".
2 adults with an 11 yr old!

Saturday - T-Rex Dinner
Sunday - Crystal Palace Dinner
Monday - Le Cellier Lunch
Tuesday - Rainforst Cafe - Animal Kingdom Dinner
Wednesday - Whispering Canyon Dinner (Iffy about this one we had bad service and dried out food last time there)
Thursday- Chef Mickeys Dinner
Friday - The Wave Dinner

I enjoyed Grand Floridian Cafe. I was seated without a reservation in just a few minutes. I took the boat over from MK and took the monorail back to MK and the bus back to my resort (AKL) I had a good steak, mashed potatoes, fresh carrots and pea pods. Good bread and butter, very nice server. I think I also may have had a Smoothie for my drink.

I loved Whispering Canyons, my daughter and I had a ball with all the shinanagins going on. It is on our list when we go again this year! Keeping in theme with such dinner 'play' we will also be doing the 50's Prime Time Cafe in HS, I have heard the fried chicken is awesome there. I have been reading a lot of mixed reviews about Le Cellier lately... personally, for the best steak I have EVER eaten and a wonderful ambiance I can personally recommend The Yachtsman which is in one of the resorts. It was wonderful and anytime I bring up my DW trip, the story of that place is quickly told. Rainforest is another one people don't seem to care for the food much, we have something pretty similar where I live... maybe consider Coral Reef which is also in Epcot. The food is pretty good (my friend I took with us said the Mahi Mahi was the best fish he had ever eaten) and the dinner setting is just spectacular. Sharks, giant turtles and huge fishies swimming by and afterward you go through and see the aquarium which is a not miss in my book. Your going to have so much fun!!!

50's primetime is a good option if you can get in.
Have enjoyed all the rest except have never been to the wave.

We like "comfort" food when on vacation. We've tried just about everything, many times. Now we tend to stick with our old favorites to include the 50s PrimeTime (@Studio) lunch or dinner and LTT (@MK) lunch only. We enjoy both and find their menus to be a favorite in our family. We generally will eat at both at least 2 times during a trip. We don't eat at LTT for dinner since it's a plated meal. We no longer do buffets anymore because we like to just sit and have someone bring our food to us. We have done the wave for both breakfast and dinner and did not enjoy the dinner and found the place overrated--but that's our opinion. We haven't done Whispering Canyon in a long time now (a couple of years) and when we did, we always choose off the menu, not the skillet. We were thinking of trying it again, but the last time the food was OK, and felt so rushed. WC use to be our favorite breakfast choice. Good luck! We leave this week and will be there until the 28th and I made many changes to my ADRs last week and was surprised how much was available to include LeCellier!

T-Rex has good food and its fun! My kids really liked it when we went before. And I thought the food was good.

We are meat and potato people too. We found the wave too weird for us. We love Kona, Coral Reef (DS and I get the chicken w/mash potato). GFC, RFC, TRex are more of our favs. We also like Big River on the boardwalk. 50's food is good, but we eat at the bar. Have a great time!

Completely agree about the Wave. Check out their menu if you haven't yet. We passed on this because we are meat potato also, and I am straight up picky. They didn't have anything that appealed to me. Also, we usually pass on RFC since it's a chain. Very TGI Friday's-esque and we prefer to do something more unique to Disney while we're there.
