Finally my treasured Walt Disney World Vacation Scrapbook Album from our June 2008 trip is DONE! :yay:

I’ve admired looking at many other’s scrapbooks and Disney themed things here, so I thought what fun to share my labor of love.

I bought the album down at WDW and took over 1000 pictures plus the 100 more from PhotoPass, souvenirs, maps and more grace the pages of this album. It turned out to be a bit thicker than I had imagined and there are still a few finishing touches to be made. But for the most part it is complete, and just in time before my family embarks on another adventure in the World.

Details:

*The book is a 3-ring binder

*Pages are a combination of 12 x 12 slip in’s and double sided 4 x 6 pages (enough to fit 12 pictures, or things)
* I began the book sometime in fall of 2008 and had worked on it in spurts and sometimes I did huge chunks at scrap-nights & weekends.
* I finished the book in late Feb 2009.
* The final page count is: 40 (plus a souvenir pocket page)
* The total themed layout number is: 44

Description of this thread:

Purely for the FUN of it!

Now my original idea was to share all the pictures of my scrapbook plus some in the process pictures...but after I uploaded them in t was a TON!

So below are pictures of some of my FAVORITE layouts and a link to a photobucket album where you can view everything!popcorn::

I have included for the most part pictures of the before in creative working process and the end product of each layout.

Oh please KIM I do not post my children's 1st names here so several of the pages have their names edited out.

Enjoy and thanks for looking.

I LOVE DISNEY & SCRAPBBOKING!:goodvibes

Great job! I especially love the Ariel page.

Thanks for sharing your album:).

Beautiful Beautiful pages! You can see how much you love your family in all the hard work you put into your book. Memories are so precious and your family will thank you later for what you are doing now to preserve them! :goodvibes

Thanks for sharing your scrapbook with us!! The pages you have posted here are beautiful!! Now I have to go see the rest! :thumbsup2

Very nice! And - you have me convinced.. Once I use up the few post-bound scrapbooks I have, I'm going strictly 3-ring binder for any other 12x12's..:thumbsup2

I recently finished a post-bound that about drove me out of my mind - trying to get enough spacers in there so the pages would lie flat - and I'm still not 100% happy with it..

I've already started some letter-size 3-ring binder scrapbooks for my years at the lake (it will be 58 years this season) because obviously they are going to have to be done in "volumes".. LOVE the way the pages lie nice and flat though..:thumbsup2

Feels great to be able to say, "I'm done!" - huh? :goodvibes

Great album! I love the page about getting ready for the trip - I never would have thought to include those kind of pictures and memorablia! It's a neat addition.

Mousescrapper.....great pics and book....hey im a chicago burb scrapper too :goodvibes I go to Archivers alot!!!

Very, very nice job! :thumbsup2 I also scrap using the 12x12 3-ring binder and I love how you incorporated the photo pages in with the scrapbook pages as that is something I plan on doing as I take SO MANY photos while at Disney! :)

For those who are looking for good 3-ring binders, I use We R Memory Keepers and I order them on-line. I have seen a limited amount of them at ACM also. (I use one from there for my Picture a Day album)

I hear you....I've done the post bound and the creative memory style w/ the strap mainly and this was actually the first 3-ring. and I totally love how it turned out!

Yes it does!

Great album! I love the page about getting ready for the trip - I never would have thought to include those kind of pictures and memorablia! It's a neat addition.

thanks I had taken most of those pic's to include in my PTR of the trip and I thought why not use it in the scrapbook too....

Mousescrapper.....great pics and book....hey im a chicago burb scrapper too :goodvibes I go to Archivers alot!!!

The local one by me closed so I have a 20+ min haul to other locations...but it's worth it. I really like the stuff there!

Very, very nice job! :thumbsup2 I also scrap using the 12x12 3-ring binder and I love how you incorporated the photo pages in with the scrapbook pages as that is something I plan on doing as I take SO MANY photos while at Disney! :)

Got the idea from an Archivers (scrapbook store ad) and I figured because many of the pictures would be similar from trips past and to the future I didn't have to scrap everything but still wanted to include it...I'm very happy w/ it. I just began a new book fro one of my DD's and I'm doing the same concept.:thumbsup2

For those who are looking for good 3-ring binders, I use We R Memory Keepers and I order them on-line. I have seen a limited amount of them at ACM also. (I use one from there for my Picture a Day album)

Very nice job!

AWESOME and CONGRATULATIONS on finishing a Disney book!!! I especially like the "World Traveler" pages.

thank you so much....

I LOVE how the World Travler page of my DD (5) then turned out...I took those pictures thinking about how fun this will be for a scrapbook layout....

can't wait to do another Disney book so soon again...albeit I think on a smaller scale this time.
