I finally got started on my Disneyland scrapbook! YAY! :) I haven't finished my New England one quite yet, but I couldn't wait to start my DL book.

Title Page - I had to cut the Mickey head out by hand since I coudln't cut it out big enough on the baby bug. The whole concept for it is taken from the shirts I had designed for us to wear on the first day. I'll have to post a photo of those later. AOL was being stupid this morning so I had to upload it to Photobucket. Hopefully the link will work.

We're on our way (and just can't wait to get there) - The title is from Brother Bear. I used Cutting Up for the title. I cut the one a bit big, but my sister who was in the room using the computer did her Tim Gunn impression and said "Make it work" so I did. LOL

The paper is "Off We Go" by Reminisce. My LSS got it in last week before the flooding in Iowa where Reminisce's offices are located. If you haven't seen the line, its beautiful! They have so many cool new papers out. The Air Travel one is part of the Signature Series. I was so happy to see it in stock at my LSS. I saw it on Scrapyourtrip.com and knew I had to have it.

I think I got a bit wordy with my journaling, but it talks about the entire flight from Detroit to LA. I used Disney print for the text. Information was blurred out on the boarding pass to protect my privacy.

EDIT: I felt that these ones were missing something, so I added Mickey and Minnie to them from the Mickey and Friends cart. Mickey was cut at 3 inches and Minnie at 5. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. :)

What a view! - These are some of my favorite photographs from our trip! They were taken from the plane as we flew to LA. I normally don't get the camera out when we travel because most of the flights have been too short, but since this one was going to be nearly 5 hours, I had the camera out. The view of the Rockies and Grand Canyon were unbelievable! Simply amazing! And it just reminded me how lucky we are to live in such an amazingly beautiful country.

I used Paper Dolls for the clouds then chalked it. And I used Cutting up on the serif feature for the title. The "above the clouds" on the right side is a sticker from Jolees. The two photos are my sister and I on the plane. My sister was sooooo annoyed that I was taken her picture. LOL The paper is by Reminisce called "Air Travel."

That is all for now. :)

As always, I love your stuff Melissa!

I, too, always love your stuff. Thanks for sharing and I can't wait to see more:).

Thank you guys. Glad someone likes my pages. No one really seems to comment on them over at the Cricut board. Lots of views, but little response. Its sort of depressing.

Tomorrow I'm going to work on the Monsters Inc ride layout. Possibly my birthday dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. :) I have some cute paper for the photos with my cake, so I've been waiting impatiently to work on that one. LOL :)

I'm lovin' the first few pages, can't wait to see the rest! (I know I always seem to want to complete any Disney album before any other general LO's for any thing else!)

I got my Monsters Inc ones done! :)

My favorite ride at California Adventure at Disneyland was "Mike and Sulley to the Rescue." It is such a cute ride. I think we rode it like 3 times, though I could have ridden it more than that. Its one of the rides that is exclusive and unique to Disneyland.

For the first page I used CDS to create the panels for Boo's door. I drew on the flowers myself. I chalked the edges to give it an aged look. I used pink since the ride uses pink, though in the movie I think its white. The journaling is behind Boo's door. I used Going Places for the taxi since the ride cars are taxis. I used Opposites Attract for the rest of the title. The embellishments are from Jolees.

For the last one I have to add what Roz said. Each time we would ride it she would say things to each car and it was unique and specific for each car. I was thinking of adding some quotes to a couple of them, but I would need to see the movie again.

This layout is my birthday cake at Disneyland at Goofy's kitchen. A week after we got back I found the paper at a LSS and knew it would be perfect for the photos of my cake.

Last year when we went to WDW I ordered my sister a super cute Koda cake, so it was her turn to order a cake for me. The options are a bit different at DL than WDW. She wanted to do a Will Turner cake, but they would need a photo faxed to them, which she didn't want to deal with. So she went with an edible Mickey. She wouldn't tell me what exactly ordered so I was rather surprised when the waiter brought the cake out. Dale was at our table when the cake was brought out. Dale was sooooo cute. The cake was white cake with white chocolate mousse filling and butter cream icing. It was SOOOOOO good, but VERY, VERY sweet! One bite was enough to go into sugar shock! It was awesome though! She did a good job. :)

For the layout I used Alphalicious for the title along with some old stickers I had made by Provo Craft. I used a piece of glitter paper from DCWV glitter stack for the title. I used Mickey and Friends for Dale and Paper Doll Dress up for the apron for Dale. And I made the cake with Pooh and Friends, but cut the plate/tray by hand. Both the main purple papers are by Crate Paper from the Kaitlin Collection. The dark purple is called "Heartbreaker" and the light purple is called "Bubblegum." the scalloped circle is by Making memories. The other paper is just basic cardstock.

I <3 your pages so far. I was at DL a little before (or was it after you!) but I'm so behind on scrapping it's not even funny! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. We were there April 27 - May 3.

I finally got the one picture off the desktop of the image that I designed for our shirts what we wore on the first day at Disneyland. This is actually my shirt, my sister's was slightly different. I think it said, "fairy tales really do come true." Same basic design though.

Love all the LOs so far!! Keep them coming, so it'll push me to work on mine, lol.

Love the cake LO, I think that's my favorite so far!

You're not alone. :P But I'm pretty bad at commenting myself, I wish I was better at responding to all the LOs I love!

Mike and Sulley are too cute! It makes me want to go to DL just to ride that ride! The cake looks amazing, I think I went into sugar shock just looking at it! :rotfl:

LOVE your Dl pages so far ! I was there for my first trip March 2-4 of this year, & feel like I have SO much to scrapbook! I've been to WDW lots of times, & don't feel the need to scrapbook IASW much anymore, but I took a ton of ride & park pics at DL & they need to be scrapped!

Thanks as always for sharing your work in progress albums with us!

Latest layouts:

Dream Vacation - The tags and Mickey on the second page are from Mickey and Friends. The paper is by Reminisce, part of the Signature series. The photo on the first page is one of our photopass ones that I got from Shutterfly for free when they had their free 8x10 promotion. It cut off Tink's butt though! LOL The title is printed on the paper. One side has it with the title, the other doesn't. On the tags I put what we did each day, which park, and some of the highlights.

Thank you. That was the way that I felt as well. I took TONS of photos because it was our first trip and I had never scrapped any of it before. Also wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any pictures. At WDW I've never really taken pictures of the rides, but at DL I took pictures of pretty much every ride but Soarin.
