My 2008 Birnbaum Guide is NOT UPDATED!

I can't believe it still says on page 19 that appetizers and gratuity is included in the DDP! Geez, too bad I can't get them to honor that!!! (Maybe I should call just to ask...!!! )

I'm pretty sure Disney put the changes into policy after many of the guide books had already gone to press.

amazon's page on the '08 book shows it's publication: Rev Ed edition (September 18, 2007)

Now that might have been after some at the Dis heard about it, but they probably didn't know or didn't have time to fact-check such a massive change!

It's always best to get the newest guidebook available for your trip, but also to note when it was published and not take anything as absolute.

You should see some of the stuff in the latest DisneyLAND books! Zoiks!

I had already bought the 2008 guidebook (Unofficial Guide for me) when the changes were announced. Like yourw, my book was outdated a month after I bought it, at least with respect to the meal plan.
