We are going to WDW the First week of November (Nov 1st - Nov 8th). For the first 4 days that we are going to be there my DD will be 2. Her birthday is on the 6th. She does not need tickets to get into the parks when she is 2 but according to WDW when she is 3 she needs tickets. So my question is this, do I get her a ticket for the days when she turns 3 or do I go the whole week as she is a 2 year old? Any thoughts?

She is 2 for her entire stay. Disney's policy is that kids are the age they are on the first day of their visit.

So even if your DC turned 3 on the second day of the visit, they would be 2 for the entire stay, because they were 2 on day one.

Seriously, DO NOT worry about this!! If the child is 2 at the beginning, she is considered 2 the entire trip. You WILL NOT be asked for ID, etc., and noone will hassle you. In fact, if you book(ed) through Disney they will not sell you tickets until the child is ACTUALLY 3.

I had the most ridiculous problem with this when booking our January, 2006 trip back in October, 2005. My son turned 3 on November 8, but THREE different people AND a manager refused to sell me a ticket for him because he was still only two. EVEN THOUGH he would be 3 and 2 months during our trip. I was finally told by a Disney Travel (or whatever the official Disney travel company is) employee that if I kept my mouth shut I'd save a lot of money. That "tip" came straight from her manager.

I did end up buying him a ticket, but he was ALREADY 3, was tall enough for the 40 inch rides, and I felt that was the right thing to do.
