My husband surprised me last week. We are going to Lourdes the week of Easter. He told me since we will be in the area why don't you look into DLP for a day or two. We will be on property but I haven't decided where yet.

What would be the restaurants, shows, or rides we shouldn't miss that will fit into our time constraints. My husband does have a slight back issue and I have an inner ear problem so something that spins violently wouldn't be good.

Any recommendations would be helpful.

We have been to WDW and Disneyland.

860km really isn't 'in the area'. Are you driving/flying/train to Marne-la-Vallée? Train would be about 7 hours; flying faster but there are only charters and a few AF flights into that airport.

You are there during a peak period and your time may well be taken up with travel based on the long distance between these two areas.

DLRP has many things different or even nicer than the American parks, such as the dragon lair, or Pirates. And the food is better in the parks - especially somewhere like Walt's or Blue Lagoon.

We are flying into Charles de Gaulle. Not really sure how to get to the DLP easily. This is supposed to be my job to figure out. Then we will be taking the train down to Lourdes on Good Friday.

What I meant by "in the area" is that I'm closer to DLP being at Lourdes than in the US.;) We (my family) don't travel by train. We have flown (when our family was smaller and prices were lower) but now we usually drive. I can't remember the last time I was on a train (except at WDW). I'm really looking forward to it.

I just called DVC to make reservations. I was told that I was required to purchase length of stay passes. I was also told that there was plenty of room at all of the hotels during the week of Easter. "No rush."

If you look at the FAQ stickys at the top of the page there is a section on travelling to DLP by plane and this has info on getting from CDG to DLP

Thanks!

I tell my kids all the time to "look and read ALL the information on the page" when they do their homework. I think I should follow my own advice.:thumbsup2 It's been a long time since I've had to plan a trip I've forgotten how.

Hi mt2,
Elaine, Jackie, Elaine and Reid welcome you to the DLP DIS board :flower3:

We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1477038,
DIS posting guidelines can be found here

As another member says, if you're flying into CDG, and then heading to DLRP, we have quite a lot of information in the Very Useful Info sticky. You can get the VEA coach, the TGR high speed train, or a private transfer.

Enjoy trip planning your whole French vacation :) .
