I posted this in my pre-TR thread... but there's so many threads there, I think my thread got lost in the shuffle. :rotfl:

I'm taking my nieces to WDW next month, and I decided that I want to make a scrapbook so that I will have something special to treasure, which I can also share with them and the rest of the family. This is the first page- it contains a copy of the invitations that I gave to them (when I first told them about the trip)...

I'm not planning to do anything too fancy- just something fun and clean looking. I've been lurking a bit on this board to get some tips and ideas, so thanks for all you've shared.

Lovely Job!!

Feeel free to ask if you have any questions- many of us rarely venture too far off this board, but are on here all day.

That is adorable. Nice job! :thumbsup2

Is the carriage an embellishment or on the paper? Part of it looks to be on the paper however the spokes of the wheels seem to be an embellishment.

Great job! I'm sure you and your nieces will have a fantastic time and it's great that you're making a scrapbook for all those wonderful memories!

Thanks all! I am still a bit overwhelmed by all the possibilities... so much so that I don't even know what questions to ask. I sorta decided to just do it, and figure it out as I go along. :rotfl: It's fun shopping for papers and stickers and stuff.

The entire carriage is one of those Disney dimensional stickers. :)

What an awesome aunt you are! Great page- congratulations on getting the first one done, it's all downhill from there! :)

Cute page!!
I jumped in feet first too, it's a wild ride but it's soooo much fun! And we have awesome scrappers here to help when you do have questions.

Best advice for scrapping is to buy good quality tools up front, good adhesive, and don't buy stuff because you "might" need it some day. That's how you get a huge collection of things, and I'm speaking from personal experience here! LOL

Welcome aboard and if you have any questions, just ask!

You did great for your very first page. We won't revisit the monstrosity that was my first attempt at scrapbooking.

Please keep us updated as you continue your scrapbook. I love looking at others scrapbook pages.

Looks great!!!

ITA with BernardandMissBianca, don't buy what you "think" you need... by what you need... I have a collection of things that are still unopened!

Looks great! My first page was pretty scary.

ITA with buying what you need. I have a lot of things that I probably don't even need for any future pages. It gets a little cluttered after some time of collecting it all.

Back from the trip... wishing I had more time to work on a scrapbook, but here is a 2 page layout I did last night:

Spectro!

(you can't really see, but all the mattings are either on glitter paper or metallic)

While I haven't had time to do too much work on the pages, I am sure having a good time visiting scrapbook stores in my area for supplies. :lmao:

I love the Spectro page, great job! I love that bakground paper, can I ask where you found it? The title is great too!

Steph

Great job!!

I don't have much time to do my pages either so sometimes I just do 5 minutes of gathering supplies for each layout, bag it up in 2 1/2 gallon ziploc bags, then work on them when I get a chance.

Thanks all! I was soooo bummed about having to work today b/c I wanted to do some more. It's sorta addictive. :lmao: I'll probably stay up late and work on another few pages...

The background paper for the left page was in the Disney section of AC Moore; The background paper on the right came from Joann (buy 2 get 3 free sale!) I love looking through background papers.

Your Spectro page is beautiful!! It makes me so excited for our upcoming trip!
