I had no idea how DS would be at WDW but he LOVED IT! So many people told me he wouldn't know any better and that he might be cranky but he was happy as a lark! He LOVED the characters and all the rides (especially Aladdin and the Teacups). He was an Angel at all the restaurants including California Grill, Artist Point and Chefs de France! We got up around 7, got to the parks around 9 and left after lunch (between 1 and 3pm) and took a nap. We were back out around 6 and got back to the room anywhere between 9 and 11:30. We stayed at WL and he LOVED it! He would say "whoo!" every time we would enter the lobby via the busramp or the elevators. He loved riding on the buses and boats and really enjoyed watching all the people.. especially the kids.

I can't speak for all babies, but we had SUCH a positive experience. If you're having second thought or just aren't sure about bringing infants to WDW, just go for it! We saw SO many happy babies there! Just wanted to share that my experience was a SUPER-POSITIVE one! It was our best trip yet and we can't wait to go back!

I'm thrilled to hear you and your son had such a wonderful vacation. It is wonderful seeing the world through their eyes, isn't it? I can't wait to take my little guy in October. He'll be 14 months, and it will be his first visit with the Mouse!! :cool1:

Good to know. I'm surprising DH and DS this summer with a trip a week before DS turns 2. I'm starting off slow, just a long weekend and hoping he handles the flight ok. Plan to do a 7 day DCL cruise for his 3rd b-day (don't want to cruise until potty trained). I'm planning for naps, will take it at a relaxing pace and I think it will go well.

Glad you had a great experience. Hoping we can ditto that.

BTW, I don't give a hoot that he won't remember it. I will. DH will. Our memories will last a lifetime and his smiles are priceless.

Last July, we took our 15 month old and 5 year old. Our 15 month old loved it! Now everytime we see a WDW commercial he yells, "Look! Mickey." Can't wait to take hime again.

Glad you had such a great time. We're heading to the VWL at the end of April. DD will be almost 13 months and I hope she loves it as much as your child did.

Thank you so much for the encouragement! Our girls will be 15 months when we go and I was worried about them getting too bored or squirmy. Thank you again for the positive report!

I agree! Our 1 year old was thrilled with the trip. Then again, he could say "Mickey" before he could say "Mommy" :) He just loved it. Now, he wasn't an angel at the restaraunts but he wasn't screaming, crying either (just throwing napkins, straws, etc... but it was his newest phase then). I actually had more difficulties with the older boys than him..

Awesome! Thats wonderful to hear he had such a great time. We're trying it with our 8month old next month. He's always checking things out so I think he'll just enjoy all the sites and sounds. Your post was definately encouraging!
Thanks!
