We have a disney trip planned for 12-17 to 12-22 this year. I am so excited to be going at Christmas time to finally see all the Christmas decorations.

According to the dates for MVMCP that I saw, the night we arrive will be the last night. I am thinking about getting tickets for MVMCP and am wondering what shows are different than the ones seen during the regular park hours. We usually spend the majority of our time at the Magic Kingdom. So I know over the rest of our trip we will be able to see the special Christmas shows during regular hours. But I want to make sure that I don't miss out on things that are exculsive for MVMCP.

Also is the parade different than the one during the regular hours? Most of the comments that I saw on AllEarsNet said to skip the first parade and watch the second as it will be less crowed. But I have 2 children DD (3) and DS (8) and I am worried that they will not be able to make it till midnight. So if we miss the parade, can we catch it during regular park hours on a different day - or is the parade special?

Last question - I promise - Are the fireworks different than normal and are they offered 2 times as well or just once at the end of the night? Because, again I am worried that my kids will not be able to stay awake that late.

Anyone who has been before, please help. :Pinkbounc :bounce:

The parade at MVMCP is the Christmas parade. That is usually only shown during the day the Week of Christmas and at MVMCP nights.

The shows are the same thing...like Twas the Night Before Christmas show, for example.

The fireworks were Wishes last year at 9:15p only.

So I think you'll be able to do all the MVMCP things during the day since you'll be there till the 22nd.

The only other thing you might miss is seeing snow coming down on Main Street during the parade which is neat and the free souvenir photo and hot choc and cookies.

Thanks so much for your input. Now I know I can just relax and enjoy the atmosphere and not rush to see everything since I can see it later in the week. I will probably buy the tickets just for the snow. We don't get any of that here, so it will be nice treat for the kids.

Thanks again.

We went 11/30/03 - our last night of our trip. The show in front of the castle was different than Cinderella's Surprise Celebration. It was really nice. I don't know if they do that one during the day later in the month but it was really nice. Also, I know you said your kids wouldn't be able to stay up, but as this was our last night at WDW, we stayed til the end. And found they had an unannounced show in front of the castle. It was the same show that we had seen earlier but this time there was almost no one there and we had front row seats practically to ourselves. That was really nice.

Thanks very much for the help and the welcome to the boards. I have been reading comments here for awhile but have only just gotten around to registering and posting my first (of what I am sure will be many) question.

Thanks again.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
