We are going to arrive around 4:00 on 12/18. We usually get checked into our resort and then head to MK. This year our first day is a MVMCP day. Would it be worth going to the party and getting only a four day pass for the rest of my trip? We have never been at Christmas.

Not sure of the question...how long is your entire trip? For check-in day, it makes sense to leverage the party tickets and then a four-day pass for four additional park days. Is it a five-day trip? Edited to add: Christmas is our absolute favorite time of the year at WDW. Primarily MK, Epcot and the Grand.
