MVMCP

We like to have a late lunch and get to the park right at (or before 4pm) to enter the party. Then we will hit the rides until the party starts. We always plan on the later parade too so that we can hit up more of the rides while a bulk of the people are watching the first parade. We try to not sit down for a dinner even at a QS but have a snack or two while at the party to maximize our ride time.

If you are into character meets the 7 Dwarves line starts building up before the party starts. I would go on a week day instead of weekend. We found the crowds to be smaller. Since last November was our second party we ate dinner at Be Our Guest with a 6:20 reservation. We were done before any of the parades/shows and still rode a few rides.

They have party-themed t-shirts to buy. Mainly, just enjoy the atmosphere.

We are going for our first time to a Sunday party in late November. We will be at MK the WHOLE day (We've got 8 am Keys to the Kingdom Tour). We were planning to do the tour, get some fast passes, and then probably take off around 1:30pm to visit the monorail resorts and Wildnerness Lodge to see Christmas Decorations. We've got a 4:50 pm Liberty Tree Tavern ADR - seemed like a good idea as my understanding is they are shutting down the park for an hour (or at least not running rides or giving out FPs) while they clear non-party guests out of the park.

Unless something has changed they DO NOT shut down the park while clearing non-party guests. At 7:00 they start to escort people towards the exits. They aren't allowed to enter shops, restaurants, or bathrooms on the way out. Rides still run and FP+ gives out fastpasses up to 7:00 or so.

They are not closing the whole park, but something has changed about how they handle the transition period. I guess I was unclear. They are closing the attractions between 6 and 7, and Day guests are able to remain in the park to shop until 7pm ... there just wont be any rides running (or the rides will be limited to those with MVMCP tickets.
