On the member site, it says that there is special pricing available to dvc members for the party on Nov11 and 20. When I called to get the price they said it was 48.95 including tax if I purchased early. I looked on the regular disney site and that is the exact same price as the advanced purchase that any one can get. Can anyone clear this up for me? Is this just a fake perk to make things seem like a perk?

If the price already includes tax, it's correct. The regular advance purchase price is $48.95 plus tax. The AP/DVC discounted price (when available) is $45.95 plus tax.

Thank you! I miss read on the disney site. I thought the advance purchase price also included tax. I feel better knowing that it really is a discount. I am sad that it is so expense for a family of 5. I am on the fence if I want to spend the money this trip or not.

We are going on the 20th. Since it's just two of us, it's not too bad. If you've never done the MVMCP I highly recommend it.

Many DVC'rs that don't get APs, will skip the parks on the day they are doing a hard ticket event. You can enter the MK as early as 4pm with the MVMCP ticket.

May I ask a MVMCP related question? We are going this year for the first time, on a Tuesday. I was wondering about crowds. Do they sell a limited number of tickets per night or do they sell as many as people want to buy, up to park capacity?

The number of tickets are limited. A Tuesday should not be overly crowded unless is just before Christmas. Usually the best time to do some rides is during the first parade (8 ish). Then watch the second parade. A good number of people will leave after the second parade and the ride should also have shorter lines then.

Question about MMVCP. We attended twice last year. Is the agenda basically the same each year, same shows, parade, etc... I am trying to convince DH to go, but he is not on board again.

Yes generally the agenda is the same. Last year the parade changed a bit from the prior years but most of the shows etc seem to be about the same.
