Is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party worth the $34 extra? It will just be my wife and i and we are looking at buying tickets for Friday 12/12/03 or Sunday 12/14/03. How many tickets do they sell per night? IS it limited like E-Ride nights? Will Friday night be more crowded than Sunday?

Thanks:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

We've been twice and enjoyed it. Tickets are limited in number, but I don't know comparision to E-night limit. I suspect that Friday would be busier due to more attendance by locals.

We schedule this on a day when we don't otherwise go to the parks, so we don't burn a day off our parkhoppers. The last couple of years, you've been able to get in to MK at least by 4 p.m. using only your MVMCP tickets.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MVMCP is definitely worth the money. In fact, I found myself wishing I had purchased tix for a 2nd night!

I have gone the past two years and I really feel that it is worth the money. There are more rides open than during e-night, and there are shows through out the MK and there are also 2 showings of the parade.
They make it snow on main street which is neat, and there were several spots to get hot chocolate and cookies. The cookies were okay, but we did enjoy the hot chocolate.
You can really get alot done in those 4 hours, we do some of the rides and then the shows and watch the second parade and then finish up what we missed.
The times we have gone the park was not that crowded, the first year we went the end of November on a Thursday and last year I think we went on Dec 17th this past year which was a Tuesday.

It's a pleasant enough event, and it IS fun to see the snow on Main Street and slurp down hot chocolate and cookies in a festive holiday spirit.

But...buyer beware.

You can experience the snow for free while visiting the Osborn Lights at MGM. The parade is the same one they have on other days during the season. And during most of the holiday season (with the exception of Thanksgiving Week and Christmas Week) attendance at WDW is so low, and the crowds so sparse, you can virtually WALK ON most of the major attractions -- making the "exclusive" aspect of the party pretty irrelevant.

But that's me. My wife and I went back in '99, stayed for a couple hours, and left underwhelmed. If you have kids, your reaction to the experience might be different.

YES. I feel it's definitely worth it! We went 2 years in a row in 2000 and 2001 and then tried MNSSHP last year but missed the Christmas season and MVMCP so we're doing it again this year!!!

My DH may not be as excited about it as I am but he enjoys it too!

Since there is no e-night in December, and since you cannot see some of the shows or the Xmas parade till the week of Christmas and MVMCP is the only way to see the parade in early December, it's worth it.

Then there's the snow, the decorations and music, the free hot choc and cookies, the free photo and button, not one but 2 parades, the special fireworks, the special shows, Dumbo with a santa hat on, Cinderella's carraige behind the Castle with the Princesses around it, limited ticket sales, etc....

It's so magical and fun!

My DH and I love this event. We have went the past two years....the first year we bought tickets for two nights. This past year I tried to talk him into 3 but he wouldn't budge. Either way I give it two thumbs up. And we are two adults (29 & 30).

The parade during MVMCP does become the regular daytime parade at MK during Christmas week, but if you are at WDW earlier in December, MVMCP is the only chance to see this parade.

The first time I saw this parade I liked it well enough, but the second time, last December with my 2yo DS, it was a big highlight. DS and I sat on the curb in Frontierland and he got plenty of attention from the CMs in the parade, and he kept jumping up, looking back at my DW and parents sitting behind us, pointing to the parade like "Wow--did you see that!"

Also, the fireworks display during MVMCP is the "all-around the park" display (not the regular MK fireworks), very impressive.

Where and when do you buy these special tickets.

They are already on sale! You just call the regular Disney number (1-407-W-Disney). They will also be available to purchase at WDW but could be sold out and are a little bit more money at the gate. But the shipping charges for ordering them now probably offset the savings.

Also, they are usually available at www.disney.com as well but they have not made them available that way yet.

Is it really possible to enter the MK using only a ticket for MVMCP? I was under the impression that you need to have a park ticket for that day in order to enter the park that evening (similar to E-Ride nights).

No. No need for any other tickets except your MVMCP ticket. They should let you in with just that ticket after 4:00p if things stay the same as the last 2 years.

It's worth the money,we like it so much we have been to at least one MVMCP since 1992.It's not like we take a 1/2 hour drive to attend either. We live in Indiana, this party is now like a part of our Christmas tradition.Going 12/9 and 12/11 MVMCP'S this year.:D

We experienced the MVMCP for the first time in 2000. We enjoyed it so much we went twice. We're going twice again this year. Its a definite must do for us!

Yes,
We went last year and had a great time. We have PAPs so we went in early am and stayed all day. I think it is well worth it if you are big on Christmas.

No,
I would not pay for a regular ticket to go during the day or use a PH and then pay the extra for just the night. Like others have said I think it is well worth it if all you do is pay for the party and get in at 4pm.

Friday will much more crowded than Sunday.
