MVMCP???? Who's been and what is it like?

I was hoping to take my son for MNSSHP this year but it looks like that might not be possible so his birthday is in December and I was thinking about taking him for that and MVMCP instead. What's it like? What makes it special??? I love Halloween and am pretty sure I would prefer that party but I would like to hear about the Xmas festivities and see if its a viable option for us.

I've been to both MNSSHP and MVMCP, and I prefer MVMCP. That might be because I'm a big Christmas fan though. It's really a neat event, and I advise going if you can.

They make it "snow" on Main Street, which is super cool, they give away hot chocolate and cookies, take a souvenir photo (like at MNSSHP) which they will mail you, and show the Christmas MK parade. Of course all the major attractions are open with little to no lines. They also have special stage shows and character interactions. The glass coach is also out on display, and it's very pretty. Give it a try!

I have never been to MNSSHP, but I have been to MVMCP twice and I loved it. The Christmas parade and all the shows are the best. Making it snow on Main Street is so neat. You forget that you are in Florida.
You can not go wrong going to the MVMCP

I highly recommend going to MVMCP. Your son will love it. We have gone every year for the past 7 years and it just keeps getting better. Main street is wonderful. There are carolers and snow and hot chocolate....the parade is also wonderful. Last year I had a mickey santa hat on that had "Princess" written on it. When Santa came by during the parade, he said "Merry Christmas Princess"! and looked right at me. I almost died and I am 30 years old! It was priceless.
The charaters are everywhere too. We got our pictures taken with all of them practically. The shows are fabulous. Plus, there are practially no lines for any of the rides. We rode Space Mountain, Buzz and Pirates at least 10 times each. Get your picture taken when you first get there or late in the evening. Definetly watch the fireworks, they are amazing.

This is a must do for us on every trip. I can't wait to see my DD's face this year when we take her.

What day did you go? I am torn between Sunday and Tuesday, the first week MVMCP starts.

We went the second Tuesday last year and it wasn't very crowded. Last year they allowed you to enter as early as 4:00 with your MVMCP and get your wristband. That worked great for us, we had 2 hours of riding with short lines. They had regular fireworks at the 6:00 closing and then asked those with wristbands to go to Tomorrowland while they cleared the park. Then at 7:00 we headed back to Small World to get our picture taken with no line, the rides back there had no lines.
