MVMCP ticket question

We will be attending our first MVMCP this year. My question is, if I buy tickets ahead of time, what happens if it rains? Will they cancel the party? Will we be able to transfer our night to another night?
I plan to try for Dec. 7- a Tuesday night. Should I be safe waiting until we get there to buy tickets?

They still hold the party in the rain, but the parades, fireworks, and shows may be cancelled. I went two years ago in the pouring rain, and stayed for a couple of hours. We were able to exchange our tickets from the rainy night for another night in our trip. Other folks were able to get refunds or one day tickets in return for their rainy night.

TLLinden, I bet I know the party you went to!! We were there in Dec 02 and had tickets for the party on Tues. night. The weather was perfect. Thurs. evening we were at the Candlelight Processional and the skies opened! We gave up and made a run for it. I kept thinking "I feel bad for the people at the Christmas party". A CM told me the next morning (when it was still raining!!) that they were giving refunds or exchanges. It rained 10 INCHES that week!!
