MVMCP ticket AP discount

I am going to buy an AP because I have 3 small trips within the next year. I just purchased a ticket to MVMCP. I just heard they have AP discounts for Annual Passholders. Is that right? If so, how much is the discount. Will Disney refund the difference to me or am I out of luck?

It's like 5 bucks. I'm in the same situation. I'm pretty much just calling it a loss lol
