How are the souvenir photos for MVMCP handled? Are the CMs ready for an influx or is there a long wait? Do you wait for something portrait-style or is it a candid shot? Is it done at designated locations and are there several of them? Should we get it done as soon as we get in or wait until later? Do I have enough questions or should I post more???

We have had the pictures done for both the MVMCP and MNSSHP and both times they were located in the same spot. They have a table set up with cards that you fill out your name and address on it and they are pretty quick. They use this card as the address lable to mail you your picture in. You recieve them in the mail pretty quick too. I'm pretty sure the picture beat us home from vacation. It is a quick picture. They will sit you down and pose you but very quickly, nothing fancy, but it looks good. I didn't find the lines long at all. Both times I just walked by and got them done, didn't plan it first.

We were at the MVMCP last year. There were quite a few picture locations throughout the park. Some of the lines looked pretty long, so we just waited until we found one that wasn't. I think we got ours done by Small World. The lines do move quickly though. Our picture arrived within a week after we returned home.

Last year we had ours done in the same area as the Timekeeper attraction.

It was very organized. We got in line, completed the forms while waiting (wait was only about 10 minutes), then they directed us to one of about 6 photo stations. They snapped our photo, gave us our MVMCP buttons, and off we went.

The whole thing took less than 15 minutes.

If memory serves, we did this about 1/2 way into MVMCP.

Ok Im confused what are you talking about what are the abb for its been 15 years since I was at the World and that was my first and only time then!

thanks Bearloch

If you arrive before the gates open, go to the Guest Services area (to the right of the gates as you're facing the entrance) and pick up the map and schedule of the evening's events. While you're waiting for the gates to open, you can study the schedule and plan what to do. We did our photo immediately upon entering, at the station in Tomorrowland. We were the first ones there and there was a line when we finished.

This is our first Chirstmas trip and we will be at MVMCP on the 9th. We have PS at LTTat 5:50 and plan to hit the photo right after that so we will still look fresh in the picture.I know what Slash MT does to hair. My question is, are the pictures copy righted by WDW? We would love to use this as our chirstmas card shot ,but won't break any copy right. Anyone done this? Is it allowed?

Hope to see you all there!!!!

Last year, the lines at the photo locations, in T-Land at least, were very long the entire night!! I would certainly recommend having your photo done first thing. The good thing about having it done in Tomorrowland is that there are 2 photo locations in that area of the park--one at the Timekeeper and the other at the Carousel of Progress. At least if you get it out of the way first thing, you are free to enjoy the rest of your evening without worrying about making time for getting your photo taken. The fireworks, and my favorite, MVMC Parade:p , are not to be missed!!! Have a great time!!:D

I get it over with ASAP and I've never waited more than 5 minutes. Last year, we were first in line after eating at LTT.

Hopefully this will clarify the confusion:
MVMCP is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It requires a ticket for entrance into Magic Kingdom from 7 PM to midnight. There is snow on Main Street, a special Christmas parade, fireworks, hot cocoa and cookies, carolers, access to rides and a souvenir family photo. I was asking about the souvenir photo and the lines for getting it. I hope this helps. If you read the other posts, you'll see answers to my Q's.

I have another question? I am going with my cousins and we all live in different places. Do we each get a photo or does just one of us get it?

Supposedly, it's per ticket. You'd fill out a form for each photo you want. That is what the CM told us when we were first in line last year, but we only got one.
