This is our familys 1st time attending MVMCP. There is 9 of us and we have small kids in the group and would really like to see the 1st parade out of fear some of them could fall asleep. Once the parade and fireworks are done we will meet characters.

I am having a hard time coming up with a plan. We will be arriving at the park at 4pm. We have never rode Seven Dwarfs Mine Train so were hoping to ride that before the party.

My original Plan was to watch the castle lighting at 6:15, stick around and find a good spot along the parade route in front of the castle to watch the Celebrate the Season Christmas Castle Stage show 7:30pm, stay put for the parade to roll through around 8:30ish, watch calabrate the magic castle show at 9 and fireworks at 9:30...then go off to the dance party, watch the tomorrowland stage show and meet characters.

But THAN I read there is ALSO a castle lighting at 8pm too, if we saw the 6:15 castle lighting it would make the 8pm castle lighting less magical for the kids, seeing it twice (I assume). So I thought FORGET about the 6:15 tree lighting and be infront of the castle on the parade route curb by 7:15...and go on with my plan from there.

Can you guys help me with a good plan? We are going to the Party on Monday.:cheer2:

What characters do you plan on meeting? Keep in mind not all characters greet until midnight, so you definitely should have an idea of who you want to meet ahead of time.

7 dwarfs, mickey and minnie, any other characters with a short wait. What time are the drawfs usually out until?

It's highly unlikely that you will find the 7 dwarfs with a short wait. People start lining up for them at 5:30. I am not sure what time they are out until, but they will cut the line when they feel they have enough people to take them through the night.

There isn't a tree lighting - they're lighting up the castle.
