We will be in Orlando the week before Xmas. Our trip is 12/17 (arriving at 6pm) to the 27th (leaving in the a.m.). Should we try for MVMCP? Because my two oldest will be 11 and 13, the cost for me is about $196......a chunk of change.

Since we will have 10 day hopper passes, I don't really "save" anything by not needing to use park admission.

I was under the impression that the benefit is for people who are going earlier in the month.....when the parade and snow aren't done. That we can see everything that happens at the party on a regular MK day during Xmas week.

As a FYI, we aren't really "into" the characters (like having pictures with them) or parades.

Is this true? Since I have to go to a late party (the 18th or the 20th), will it be crowded? I've heard that the last day is a bad day to go.

Also, can I buy tickets planning to buy an AP? If I don't end up getting it, will I just pay the higher price when I pick them up?

How early do tickets sell out?

If I were to buy tickets and change my mind, are they refundable? (I'm sure not) Could I resell them?

Thanks

Julia

If the dates are anything like last year, I am afraid the MVMCP may be done by the time you arrive or that weekend may be the last one and very crowded. Frankly, I would skip it. We went last year when it was supposed to be dead quiet and we were shocked at the number of people. We did it once but it is not something I would spend money on again especially if it doesn't give you any real benefit in terms of crowds.

I am sure others will say go for it so this is JMHO!

How many are in your party? We are going to be there the same dates as you. I bought 4 adult tickets for Dec. 18th yesterday(my kids will be 11 and 15 when we go) and the total was $168.96. The AP discount only applies to certain dates, none of which are the week you are going.

If you aren't really into characters or parades, I don't think that I would spend the extra $$ for the party.

They are a limited # of tickets sold for each party, somewhere around 20,000 (or so I've read on these boards), so I don't think that any of the dates would be as crowded as a normal day at MK.

This is my first MVMCP, so maybe someone with experience can help with the other questions.
