So frustrated with the Christmas party being held I think 4 nights that we're there We are asked to leave the magic kingdom at what time if we don't have tickets to MVMCP? Any pros to having the party so many nights? Sick of Disney always put to make a buck $$$

We actually had a great day in the MK on a party day. We had an early breakfast and stayed in the park until 6:30 or so. The crowds were not bad at all. This was early December. I know it's frustrating if you like late nights in the park. We don't really care about that and we like that time of year so it works for us.

I have to agree, on party nights starting at 4pm the front of MK gets really packed and it slowly makes it way back over the next hour or two.. you can't plan on after 4 or 5pm to have the same crowd as the rest of the afternoon or you want to get into the hub if there is a parade or something you want to see when your leaving.. I find it a good time to stake your seat at the train station to watch the parade :)

Same here for a trip 11/8 - 11/14. The only "pro" I can come up with is that theoretically MK should be less crowded (prior to 4pm) than if there was no scheduled party.

We will definitely get hoppers and hop to one of the other parks by 4pm based on where we can get a decent 4th FP+.

It has been this way for years!!! The Pros of having so many party nights is the vast number who enjoy the parties each night. It is a joy for them. It is not Disney being evil to you.
You choose to go at this time of year, and you know this will be the case. I don't understand why it leads to frustration on your part.

parties are the best time of the year...if not that what park hoppers are for........

There are parties scheduled 3 of the nights we will be there in November. We plan to hit MK on two of those days in hopes that the crowds are lower in the morning. We will have PHs so we will just go somewhere else in the evening.

I always plan my MK days for party days. The park is far less crowded. But we have AP's so that we can go to another park for the evening. Non-party days at MK are very crowded, one time we left at noon because we couldn't stand the wall to wall people. Came back in the evening for the electrical parade and fireworks.

I went to my first Christmas party in 1998, so this has been going on for a long time. I believe back then the regular close was 6:00 and they cleared the park. With security screenings after 9/11, they started the early admission to prevent long security lines.

Try to look at it this way: If they didn't have the parties the parks wouldn't be open that late anyway. So you are actually gaining for an additional fee the opportunity to be at the Magic Kingdom longer then you would be able to if they didn't have the parties.

A pro, or it has always worked this way for me, is that the park is less crowded on party days early in the day. The only exception is if there is an AM EMH in MK on a party day. So we pick a party day and do DTD in the evening or hop to another park, but we don't mind getting a quiet evening in. :)

It's very annoying going during party season when you aren't planning to go to the parties.

This is not new. They have been doing parties 4 nights most weeks for at least 10 years and probably closer to 15 or more.

It used to be Halloween parties started at the beginning of October and Christmas parties after Thanksgiving. It wasn't until a few years ago that they expanded them to run most of the last 4 months of the year.
