This is our first trip and we will be there for the beginning of the MVMCP. Just wondering if tickets to this event are limited (can they sell out?) And how busy is it during the evening?

We will be there during these days, any input on which day would be best to go?

We went to MVMCP on November 12 and it was fairly busy. I knew it would be due to being a Friday night and holiday weekend. The worst part was making it through the crowds on Main Street as we arrived around 7pm. People were trying to leave the park, others were seated on the curbs for the parade, we were trying to get in - it was insane. However, once we got through that insanity, it was nice.

We went to Tomorrowland Terrace, got a table and had hot chocolate and cookies to regroup ourselves after going down main street. We then did Tomorrowland rides, headed into Fantasyland to do rides there. We caught a few of the shows, enjoyed the parade, it was a really nice event.

We are heading to Disney again this year in November (16-25) and looking at doing the party on November 17 which is a Thursday.

As a Canadian that experiences a lot of snowfall, I think that Disney does an amazing job of making the snow falling on main street to be quite realistic - they even had fans blowing a cold breeze to go with it.

There is just something about the Christmas decorations, the parade and special shows that make the party worth doing. Plus my son loved the cookies and hot chocolate.

I believe that tickets closer to Christmas tend to sell out more than November tickets will. I was told that Fridays is usually one of the busier nights for the party too.

WE really enjoy the mvmcp! We have beent to it 3 times. You need to check and see what nights they offer the party while you are there. It is not on every night. You can enter the park at 4pm with your MvmCp ticket. We never had a wait for the rides and the parade is adorable. Yes Tix are limited and have been known to sell out.Good Luck and Have fun.

First, you need to wait till the OFFICIAL dates for 2011 are out. They can and do change from year to year.Second, the earlier parties rarely sell out, the ones that do are generally the last full week of them of the year. For us we don't like the party anymore and to us it isn't worth it.It used to be a much better party and much better value, for us we have watched it change and became a shadow of what it once was.

Can you share more on why you no longer feel it is worth it?

Sure, but this is just my opinion.I used to go every year, each year it has gotten to be less than it used to be ...It used to be cheaper, they got rid of some of the best shows, you used to get a free 5x7 photo, commemorative pin, the cookies were better, the cocoa better, they used to really LIMIT the amount of tickets sold so it felt like an exclusive party. Now they sell more tickets, so you have lots and lots of people competing to see the same party events. Not to mention that they used to close the park andclear it of day-guests before the party. Now they issue wristbands and have Cms corral day people out, and sometimes they are not so diligent about checking wristbands and moving people out.Nothing irritates me more than payinga premium for something only to hear the people in front of me bragging about how they got in for free. Now it disney is trying to crack down on this from happening, but they can't catch everyone.Changing one or 2 of these things wouldn't bother me, but combined it is not worth it to us.We can see plenty of holiday stuff around WDW that are included in admission and are just as beautiful

We went to a sold out MVMCP this past December. It was our first MVMCP, but we had done MNSSHP just months prior. I was diappointed in the halloween party, but because I love :lovestruc Christmas I was still excited.

I have to say I was really scared since it was sold out, but it was no more crowded than the halloween party was to me which wasn't sold out. :confused3 I think the "worth" comes into what you would do with $60... we will more than likely not do it again.

I can think of other things I can do with the money that is worth it more for us. You can view videos of the parade and fireworks online with a much better view than we had.

Also, agreeing with the poster above they do not control who is supposed to be there and who is not very well. While waiting for the parade we actually had a CM ask to see wrist bands. This was the ONLY time we had that done throughout both parties. A family next to us was clueless and even though he filled them in... they stayed. Everyone wears long sleeves, so who does or does not have the wrist band is not obvious. There were many people there who shouldn't have been and when you paid $60 each to be there you get aggrivated. pirate:

This September a group of 9 of us are going and we are skipping it. The money isn't worth it for us. At the end of the day, do it once and you'll know if you would ever do it again. There are lots of people out there who say it is worth it so you never know how you will feel about it until you do it. :thumbsup2 I am one who thinks not worth the money... If they lowered the cost perhaps.

Our party had sold out though so it is possible- if you decide to do it I recommend buying in advance once they are available for sure. :wizard:

Hope you enjoy either way it goes! :flower3:
