On the evening of the VMCP we have a PS at 1900 Park Fare for a dinner with Cinderella. :Pinkbounc princess: However, I'm wondering if this is going to be a bust and we should find something else to do? I haven't heard wonderful things...and kind of regret not doing the LTT now!

Our PS is at 5pm.

From the schedule on the offical website, the Wishes fireworks will be at 6pm. Are we totally going to miss them? :(

Also, the party is supposed to start at 7 and the CM told us that we could not get into the park until 7 - that we have to leave the park and then come back that night. Not that it matters, since we'll be going over to the GF - but I'd really rather dine ON site, yk?

Is it too late to get a PS somewhere else? Should I get one in MK?

Let me help you out here, first you have some miss information which will probably change your whole way of thinking :)

First check the schedules again. They do not do Fireworks during normal park operating hours when a party is scheduled for that same evening. The schedules for some reason showed that they were but they have been (or should have been) updated. They have to set up the perimeter fireworks for the party which takes a LONG time (they usually start that around 5pm). So Wishes will not be at 6pm that night (the only fireworks show will be the ones at the party itself).

As for the party, the party "officially" starts at 7...however you can get into the park using your party ticket as early as 4pm. They will issue you a wristband and you can enjoy the last couple of "regular" park hours prior to the party. At 6pm the CM's will advise you (anyone with wristbands) to head to Tomorrowland (or wherever they set up this year, it is usually Tomorrowland or Fantasyland, or both) while they clear the park of the regular day guests. The party itself will then officially start at 7pm (or when they are clear of day guests whichever comes first).

I would try and change your PS, if you want to be in the park for it, it can't hurt to try...

:love1:

THANK YOU!!! :)

I changed my PS to CRT - I know she won't technically be there, but at least we'll be in the park! :)

I can't seem to get this straight. I have tickets for for the MVMCP on Thursday, December 11th. We just have these tickets, and this will be the only day we're going to MK (spending next day at Epcot and MGM, and then going home to Iowa :( ). I'd love to get in at 4 p.m. and ride as many rides as possible before the festivities start, but for some reason I though you could only get in early (before 7) if you had a ps at one of the MK restaurants.

For people who have been, are the lines for the rides super long between 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.? I would think lots and lots of people would want to take advantage of the chance to go to the park and ride the rides without paying the full price for a ticket? ARe there fast passes available (normally they would all be pretty much used up by this time of the day). Or is everyone eating?

Thanks for any input.

Hey Wolfelaw, I am going to VMCP on Dec 11 also. We have PS at LTT at 6 PM. I was confused about Wishes time as well. I am happy to hear that it is not shown at 6PM. This makes sense because Disney promoted the LTT diner for VMCP. Also my family is not planning to ride many rides during the VMCP or before, we want to do as many of the special Holiday Shows as possible and just enjoy the atmosphere.

Question for the experts: When is info released about the various show times and locations during the 2003 VMCP?

Hmmm...I wish I could be more help. I had the understanding that you also had to have admission tickets to the park - but I could be wrong. Maybe I'm confusing admission to have a PS.

Have a great time!! :)

November 30, the first MVMCP night, has Wishes listed at 6:00p. Could be an error but it might not be since that is Thanksgiving weekend.

They have been letting people in after 4:00p with just party tickets but it's never 100% guaranteed as Disney's been known to change their policy on a moment's notice.

If you are in the park before it closes and are not eating in a restaurant, they will make you go to either Fantasyland or Tomorrowland and that is where you have to stay till 7:00p. Yes, there will be rides to ride.

Have fun!

I saw that too for the NOV 30 date, I do believe it is an error, I work on the train and I know that they start the set up for the Perimiters as early as 5pm and we have never had fireworks for day guests on party nights...it is a hard close, which means that at 6pm everything closes (ride lines will close on those days based on the wait time, all rides have to be closed and cleared by 6pm) if they do the fireworks at 6 they will not finish til 6:15 so the party would start late since they would not be able to even start clearing the park of day guests until 6:15.

As for the entrance time, you can get in as early as 4pm with JUST the party ticket. They will give you a wristband and send you to Tomorrowland at 6pm. The reason for the early entrance (which they have not always done) is because of the security bag check. If they say that the party starts at 7 and you can not get in until 7 they will have 15-20,000 people there at 7 trying to get through security/the turnstiles/etc and it would be a nightmare. If they allow you to come in as early as 4pm but don't publicize that (make it more word of mouth) it is a steady flow of people instead of a mad rush... :) If you are already in the park say you came in at 9am there are places around the park to exchange your MVMCP ticket for the wristband so you don't have to go back up front (there will be signs for these locations...they are usually in the hub in front of the castle). Also the park itself is usually pretty slow during the day... Because it closes at 6pm a lot of people will wait and go later in the week when they can stay longer, so it is usually a slower day during the day hours (so between 4-6 is usually a great time to get started) :)
