We will be their Dec. 9th and I need to know if there are fastpasses. If you have to trade in your tickets for the wrist bands, then is there no fastpasses during the party? Because you wont have a ticket to get a pass with. So any experienced Christmas Partiers out there know?

I can't remember if there was fastpasses or not but for the most part they werren't necessary.

They do not take your ticket. They scan it and then give you a wristband.

Thanks, there's another thread that leads you to think they take your card in exchange for the wrist band.

The OP asked a very valid question since they have not been to a party...how would they know unless they had already been to one?

:confused3 Was this addressed to me??

I was not rude at all to the OP and yes, it was a valid question and I nicely answer his question. I don't get what the problem is.

Absolutely it was NOT addressed to you. It was addressed to the person I quoted, not to you, that's why I quoted them. They said "Thanks, there's another thread that leads you to think they take your card in exchange for the wrist band." I just meant the tone of their statement (which seemed rather sarcastic to me) seemed a little off when someone asked a valid question.

Your answer was perfect! I am sorry you thought I meant you!

Sorry! I must really be going senile as I didn't see your quote when I replied to you!

Last Jan, when we did the Pirate/Princess Party, we used those tickets to enter the park. We got there about 6:00ish. We all had regular passes we could have used, but the CM at the turnstyle said to just use the party tickets. As soon as we got through the turnstyles, there was a CM giving out the wristbands, who also marked our party tickets to show they had been used.
Okay, so far so good. Well, we got to Space Mt about an hour later. Walked up to the FP machine, put in my pass, and it wouldn't work. Tried the next machine...still nothing. I was more than a bit irate. The CM asked me what I had used to enter the park. Duh...my party ticket!! CAn't use the AP if you didn't use it to get into the park. What a dummy. So...keep that in mind. Be sure to use whatever park media you used for park entrance at the FP machines. That was something I just didn't think about.

Good point! I didn't know this either...we entered the park for MNSSHP with the party tickets. I was standing in line to get the Dole Whips (prerequisite for visiting Adventureland!) so I gave my son my AP and sent him to get the FPs for Jungle Cruise. Wasn't too long till he came back and said he got a FP that said, "This is not a valid FP. This ticket was not used for admission" and asked for my party ticket...live and learn!:thumbsup2

I think there was confusion.. the poster you quoted was the original poster who was confused because there actually WAS another thread that seemed to indicate they kept your ticket. :)

Confusion cleared.. all good..

I think you actually quoted the original poster not another poster. ;)

I think the OP said that there is another thread that leads them to think they take your card is because someone else said they did so I think the OP was just confused and trying to get the correct info.

Everybody's happy now, but, I'm still confused about the OP.

Are there fastpasses during the party, not just between 4:00 and the official start of the party?

Are the current MVMCP tickets "used to enter the park?" The last time I went to a party, the tickets were oversized and did not fit in the turnstiles. So, they wouldn't fit in a fastpass machine either. Are the current party tickets the same size as regular tickets?

Thanks.

We were at the MNSSHP and the MVMCP in the last couple of weeks and no, there are no fast passes, but we didn't need them either as nearly everything was walk right on. The longest we waited in line was 10 minutes. Most people are in line for characters, parades, shows, etc. We had an AWESOME time at both parties but the Christmas party was especially magical. Well worth every penny.

Oops sorry! I think senility is getting here faster than I thought it was. Guess that means when I go to Disney World it will be like the first time again? ;)

I am so sorry, I completely misread this! I am embarrassed and sitting in the corner now, and will send everyone virtual Dole Whips from the World next week!
