MVMCP Parade...When are people lining up??

I was there on Dec 1. I had a FP for Jingle Cruise at 5:30 and got right on. I went directly back to Main Street after the ride and it was already packed with people waiting for the first parade. The later parade was no better. And the guy working traffic control at the busses said it was a "slow" night. I'd hate to see a sold out night.

Dec 18 is a Friday night, you get lots of locals on the weekend. Because of Christmas. I would opp for the second parade

On Dec 1, we attended the party and chose to go to the second parade. Seating for the first one was packed around the hub by 6:15, for the castle show, but some of those folks may have cleared out. We wound up getting a front row spot in the hub, close to where the parade turns into Main Street, immediately following the fireworks. We were able to see the castle stage show really well from that position, too. The only thing we missed was the snow.

Hi There I am also interested in where to stand to see the castle show, parade, and fireworks. Is there any where we can stay to see all of the shows without moving ? We don't care about the snow on main street and with 2 little ones we most likely have to do the first parade. Also, how early do I need to save a spot. I was thinking about 7:00. Any advice would be appreciated.

You need earlier then 7 if you want a curb spot for the parade.

The posts in this thread already discuss your questions.
There are maps in post #5.
Choosing a spot in the hub will allow seeing all the evening spectaculars, but as discussed, it's going to be crowded, so choosing a spot there early (very early) will be important.

I'm really surprised that with all the changes to the hub area they did not add snow machines up there. At Disneyland when it snows it also snows in the hub.
