Help me decide! My group consists of 6 adults. Would you pick going to the Christmas party on Thursday, 11/16/2023 or getting a parkhopper ticket to go to MK and AK that day? This is an add-on to our non-Disney trip and therefore our only day at Disney. We are staying off-site and will have our own vehicle to use if parkhopping.

Ticket sales for MVMCP will be coming up soon (July 6) and I'm not sure how quickly it will sell out, so trying to decide by then. The others are leaving it up to me! We've never done Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party so I'm not sure what to expect for crowds.

That week is one of the slowest. Thanksgiving crowd Will arrive Saturday 18th.
This party Will not sale out fast. You should have time to decide.

Does the group really have a deep desire to goto AK? If I'm doing the parks only one day, AK would be my last choice park to hop to especially for a group of 6 adults. I would not want to be responsible for making that choice for everyone, however, if they want you to decide.... I'm picking MK and MVMCP. We've done the party around that mid Nov time frame when the party has had a few weeks under it's belt, the crowd levels are great and it's really enjoyable weather.

My nephew will be with us and has never seen the Pandora area before and my son wanted him to experience it and they both like Expedition Everest. That's why Animal Kingdom was a choice. I wanted Magic Kingdom because Magic Kingdom... and I would like us to have a chance to ride Tron.

Still undecided on whether to just stick with the party at MK or instead get a parkhopper and try to do as much as we can at multiple parks. Most likely not planning to buy Genie+ or ILL's. I know some will think that's not smart, but to us it's the principle of it (don't want to add the expense).

My daughter is leaning towards option 1, MVMCP;
my son picks option 2, MK regular day/park hop to AK;
the rest of the party say they are happy with whichever we decide. Decisions, decisions!

That's tough to be the decision maker for the group and a hard call too. My decision making is limited to my own immediate family so I have everyone's candid feedback on planning. It's a tough call with AK. We love Pandora and EE too but right now for us, that's all that's there. We go to WDW several times a year and we pretty much skip AK 2 out of every 3 trips. It's hard to justify a day in a park that offers us so little that we really enjoy. You'll have a good time doing either. Good luck!

Thanks for your perspective! If we go with the parkhopper option instead of party ticket, it won't be a whole day at AK, we'd just hop over there in the late afternoon/early evening. :)
