MVMCP on first night?

We are planning our first Christmas trip Dec 16-26. The flights that we are considering have us landing at 4:10 and then will be taking the magical express to the Pop. I think it would be so much fun to start our first night with the christmas party, we did that halloween night 2 years ago and had a blast!

Do you think we would have enough time to check in and get the MK without being too rushed? thanks!

I think that might be a very difficult question for anyone to answer just yet. Does anyone know if there will be a separate bus for every resort, or possibly a bus for each specific geographic resort area? Until all that is known, I think it's a guess as to whether it will take an hour and a half from touchdown to resort arrival or more. Keep in mind that December 16th will be the final night for MVMCP and this is usually the first night to sell out. It sounds like the crowds won't bother you and chances are that you'd arrive pretty close to the 7pm opening time. I'd say go with it for now and just check on the responses that the Magical Express option gets when it's up and running. You could always make alternate transportation plans if necessary.

Hey...because of the times you will be there, I suggest no party. We went the same times as you last year...we caught the last party on the 17th. Starting on the 18th, the Christmas shows etc. from the party are free and during regular hours. The only thing we got special from the party that we couldn't have gotten during the normal hours was a cookie and hot chocolate. EVERYTHING else was going on the next week - parade, shows, snow on main street, etc. Just a suggestion - we were disappointed to find this true on our trip as we have enjoyed the special events at the Halloween party in the past.

We love going to MVMCP on our first night at the World. It's a great way to get into the Disney mood.
