From what I've read, it's basically a big Christmas parade, cookies and hot chocolate. How crowded is it? I'm wondering if we should go or not. We'll be down there in December.

I was wondering the same thing. I bought tickets for the November 13th night. I don't know if it is worth the money. It is something I have always wanted to do/see. I have been to MNSSHP and it was worth it. But, we had our kids then. This upcoming trip is adults only  :cloud9:

it's really worth it as far as I'm concerned! we went in 2003 and had a great time! :thumbsup2 there were bands on the stages, all the rides were open to ride...you got hot chocolate and cookies (even if it was 85 degrees :teeth: )it FELT like Christmas! GO and ENJOY! there's nothing like the CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!

Exactly what I've been wondering for quite some time. All I've read is that it's hot cocoa, cookies and parades. Is it really worth it? This is our first time to Disney World and I want it to be absolutely perfect. Well, hot coca and cookies are good and all, but for the price it is you could have a personalized cake added to each person's menu!

We were thinking the same thing. We decided not to shell out the extra money for a parade. We did the MNSSHP 2 yrs ago on Halloween. It was nice but IMO not worth the money. We figured the parks are going to be decorated so beautifully and lots of other special events that are going on for free so why bother.

Is it really? Thanks for the that! Never been, and since we're doing it near Christmas, it MUST be perfect!! :rotfl:

Yeah, that's a good point too, since it will be decorated and all... :goodvibes

Well, we didn't even do the hot chocolate and cookies and still thought it was worth it. We got to ride tons of rides while the first parade was going on. Just the feeling of Disney at Christmas during Holiday Wishes and the 2nd parade was magical. The other day during the week that we went to MK didn't feel Christmasy(? probably not a word), but that night was special.

I don't know if you would get this same feeling in November. We were there on Dec 20th, so it seemed very Christmasy.

We went to MVMCP December 2005 and it was great. Very much worth the price but one big tip. When you are there for the party take advantage of the holiday stuff, don't try to ride all the ride but rather take in the ambiance and the spirit of the party. Go see the special shows and make sure to see the country bear overlay. Also it's a good idea to stake out a good spot for the parade.

I did MVMCP last year, and while it was fine, I preferred MNSSHP much better. I felt at MVMCP there was not enough going on. I did like the shows and the parade, but I guess my beef was there were no rare characters out and about, but that's just me! Also I been a bit of a humbug about Christmas the last few years (just hate to spend $$$ on it), so I haven't been as into the Christmas spirit, which probably downplays the party for me.

I felt MNSSHP did a far better job of atmosphere, and just more fun with participation, with everyone in costumes and trick-or-treating around the park. I can't wait! :)

Well, after I say all that, I just realized the first MVMCP is happening on my November trip! Will I go - YES! Even though it's not my favorite, I won't pass it up! :teeth:
