MVMCP getting in early question

I heard that you can usually get in before 7pm when the party starts. My question is if you get in early can you ride the rides and attractions, or just walk around?

You can get in starting at 4pm I believe, and you'll have full access to everything in the park. At least I hope so! We're going 12/12!

Actually, they may herd us into one land while they clear the park like with MNSSHP a few years ago. Maybe they don't do that anymore, though, with the park closing at the same time the party starts.

Last year when we went we got to go in at 4pm.

We got to go anywhere, and then at a certain time (maybe 6:30-ish), they made all of the MVMCP people go to Tomorrowland and wait for a while until all the other people were cleared out - and then the party began!

No "herding" this year. You can go in starting at 4pm and ride the rides just like you have a regular park ticket. Around 6:30pm you will see CMs staring to put out the Halloween props, but you can still wander around the park wherever you please.

Right, actually though what they are doing is (to go along with the above quote) is at 6:00 I believe they are going to perform the regular "Wishes" show. They are doing this to get most of the non party goers up to the front of the park. I am told they are going to then sweep the other areas of the park during the fireworks and then only party goers will be allowed to re-enter the park during the show.

Someone was saying that most people were staying in the park, trying to sneak under the eye of the CM's because they wanted to stay for the fireworks show. So, WDW is giving them a showing to help ease the problem of non ticket holders staying during the party.

This will be great for those of us going as now we will get to see both Wishes and Holiday Wishes in the same night!
