Yep, you sure do.

I'm curious why you would think that you might not need a ticket? It is a ticketed event, Disney lists the closing time for MK as the start time of the party, and it has been reported that the CM throughly check for ticket holder bracelets. Why would you think a ticket would not be needed to attend the event???

They clear the park at 6pm when it is scheduled to be open till 7??
How is that?
We are going to be at MK on a day when they have a MVMCP, how do they clear the park that early? We will hopping to Epcot that day, will we be asked to leave before MK is officially closed? :confused3

they generally hand out bracelets at 4pm at the front gate
those in the park with tickets can get them at designated areas in the park generally by city hall and up by the castle. all people with bracelets are then moved to a designated park such as tommorrow land.
those without bracelets have to leave the park. You do not have to
leave the park to get your bracelet in the past. The rest of the park is then opened up a 7pm.

I thought I read on these boards that the party was being done differently this year. MK is open until 7:00 and the party starts at 7:00. Lots of people were concerned that this wouldn't work and that non-party guests would not be removed in a timely manner. Reports since the parties started have been positive. They say that CMs do a great job of clearing the park and checking people for bracelets. Most reports say that people are not seeing a lot of "non-bracelet" people.

If people are aware that the party is for ticketed guests only they should leave and not stay behind to rudely "catch the parade"

It's not a controversial topic anymore.

They used to only really check for bracelets on rides. Now they are actively checking everywhere. You can't "get away" with it any more, you will be asked to leave.

Yes, you need a ticket. If you decide not to go to MVMCP, and still wish to see the parade, I believe that it is on television on Christmas.

The main reason we went to MNSSHP was for the fireworks and parade. We can ride rides at the Magic Kingdom on any trip, we wanted to focus on the special events. That said, of course we bought a ticket. It is a hard-ticketed event and we saw many people get kicked out. I would assume the same would be true for the Christmas party. Go, buy a ticket, and have fun!

For Halloween they check for braclets everywhere. So don't try and stay in without a braclet/ticket.

I am really just going for the "extras" and not for the rides but I bought my tickets when they went on sale. I'm sorry but I really don't think it is fair that you should be able to participate in a hard ticket event without buying a ticket. You will be taking up a spot on the parade route that others have spent money on.
