MVMCP - Dinner at Kona Cafe at 5:00pm?

We would like a nice dinner before heading to MVMCP so I made a 5:00pm ADR for Kona Cafe, however I would like to be to MK around 6:30pm. How is their service time usually? They start dinner seating at 5:00pm so I think we should be ok - what do you think?

We did that last year and it worked out great. We had a 5:00 reservation and I believe we were out of there just after 6:00 and at the Magic Kingdom in no time. I would just tell your server that you are going to the party. You will have a great time !!!!!

I think people often overlook something that will impact their meals. You can often control the pace of the meal by telling the server ahead of time.

Time after time, you see people complaining on the boards that "I felt so rushed. They brought out the starters with the entrees when I wanted a more leisurely pace!" or "I wanted to get out of there, but it was AGES before I saw my entree after the starters!"

Tell your server if you need to get out fast, or if you want a more relaxed pace for your meal. If the servers are any good, they will try to accommodate you. If they stink as servers, well...

Kevin brought this up on a recent DIS Unplugged podcast, and it's really such a simple thing to do.

Thank you! I will definitely tell the server we are on our way to MVMCP. That would be great if we were finishing up about 6:00. We will be walking at a slow pace with my dad and I would like to be in tomorrowland by 7:00. Sounds like it is very doable - thanks for the reassurance!
