I bought MVMCP tickets for the night before our cruise, and I read that we can't go into the MK until 4pm that day. Would they let us in if we make meal reservations in the park for 3pm? And can we schedule fast passes prior to the trip with these tickets, or do we have to wait until we get into the park that day? I'm trying to make the most of our visit because we won't be going in the parks otherwise. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

If you only have the MVMCP ticket, you have to wait until 4 even if you have a dining reservation for earlier.

Yes, you will be able to schedule FP+ with your party ticket, but only for from 4pm-7pm. There is no FP while the party is going on.

1. Would they let us in if we make meal reservations in the park for 3pm?
2. And can we schedule fast passes prior to the trip with these tickets?
1. Nope.
2. I'm pretty sure you can schedule the for the 4:00 to 7:00 time period. There are no fastpasses once the party officially starts at 7:00.

Thanks everyone. I figured they wouldn't let us in for an earlier reservation, but thought I would ask! Right now we have reservations for 2:30pm at Kona Cafe, then figured we would take the monorail into the MK. Or should we just eat at a counter service once in the MK? Also, when can I schedule FP for 4pm-7pm? The last time I was at WDW was in 2013 and the Magic Bands were still being piloted. Thanks!

1. Whichever you prefer. I would probably stick with Kona.
2. 60 days out if you're staying onsite, 30 days out if you're staying offsite.

I'd stick with Kona before I'd do CS in the MK. Many places close early before the party so your options become limited. I think having a good meal before the party is a good plan...for the price of admission, the last thing you want to be doing is waiting for and then eating mediocre theme park food.

Keep your Kona. You'll have plenty of time to finish before you can get into the MK. Be careful in setting your FP+ if you want to do any of the special party things, i.e. meet and greets. The lines for those can get really long and you could miss your return time. MVMCP have been really crowded the last few years making the waits for everything much longer. Cheers and have fun!!!!

I'd keep the Kona as well. It was nice to have some relaxing downtime while we ate before the party which was go-go-go till after Midnight.
